Oh Joy - another Clive Cussler novel!
NOw, I haven't actually read this novel, but I already know what it is about, because all his books are the same. For those of you that really are considering this book (and I can't blame you for buying it over the internet where you can remain anonymous) I will give a brief plot summary, in language appropriate to the calibre of Clive Cussler:
Dirk is a nise man who has lots of adventwu, advennt, addvent, things hapen two hym. He gets intoo a fiks and neerly dyes. But he makes it throo. Then he meats his sun who wuz missin for ever. Then he gets into anotha fix and neerly dyes. The End
Cussler takes the concept of using a successful formula a step too far; in fact I suspect he has a setting in his word processor that allows him to change place names and secondary character(s), while retaining the plot and the ubiquitous Dirk Pitt.
I have small hopes in my life, but one of them is that Dirk Pitt gets into one of his "OMG, Dirk-must-be-dead" scenarios and then actually does die.
Highly recommended for readers who have yet to master the complexities of a Hardy boys novel.
