Easy to setup and and take down.

Not worth it. Put it up, secured it. Within a couple of hours in light wind conditions the sail chafed through on the joints in the poles. Very hot underneath also. Bought the shelter and two sides. Not worth it. I would have given nought stars if I could.

Aside from the super awesome service from takealot I am pleased with this gazebo. I think that it is possibly a little easier to assemble the smaller version but this is still pretty easy for 2 people to put up in around 15 minutes. The gazebo is very stable ....... legs are secured plus guy ropes so I am sure it should be fine in fairly strong wind.
I do think that at least 1 side is necessary but for max protection from the wind I guess 3 would be better :-). I have not taken delivery of the 3 sides on order yet as they are out of stock so gazebo will remained packed and unused until the sides arrive :-(

Good product, provides large shade area and seems quite sturdy. Relatively easy to setup with two people.
Gets a bit too hot during midday though, can feel like an oven.
Johan, South Africa. 23 March 2015
We went fishing the weekend and the Coleman Gazebo stood its ground against the wind and rain. However it does not shade the sun completely and gets quite hot underneath during full sunshine. One will have to put a shade net or something similar over it for a cooler experience. Apart from that it is spacious and a great product compare to others.

Very impressed, user friendly, with the addition of the door unit, this is what outdoors are all about. Even at home, when the adults are under the lapa, and the kids need a piece of shade. What a great asset.
Tim, South Africa. 25 February 2014
a bit bigger and heavier than I expected it to be, but it has steel poles. Easy to put up and take down - about 10 minutes for 2 people.
Possible to pack up solo if necessary. Casts a huge patch of shadow

I bought this gazebo a few months ago - used it next to our swimming pool. It was excellent when conditions were good, with no strong winds. At the beginning of this week we experienced quite strong winds & we arrived home to find tears in the fabric in several places where the Velcro strips attached the fabric to the poles as well as where the guy ropes were attached to the fabric. The stitching held, but the fabric tore. Very disappointing as the item is no unusable and will have to be dumped. I would award 4 stars for the unit under good conditions, but only 2 stars for durability.

What an awesome gazebo! It is easy to put up with two people and even easier to take down again. I was very impressed with how well it stood up to the elements, including very hard rain and strong winds! Everyone who saw it commented on its looks and sturdiness. A winner.

Great product for pick nicks and having some control over the weather. The side-panels is a must and ALWAYS use the support ropes for stability in wind. After sales support is also great!

I ordered this shelter and it was delivered well before the said delivery time. The first thing I noticed was that the whole package was quite heavy - because of the steel poles. Managed to set it up for the first time without much effort, it is quite tricky to build the frame. The frame is quite high in the middle so it can also be a mission to put the cover over the frame if you're short. All in all, it takes 10 to 15 mins to setup between 1 or two people. less than 5mins if you're more. Also quite easy for 1 person to take down.
The shelter looks fantastic when erected. Its extremely versatile especially if you have purchased 1 or 2 side walls which is perfect for shelter from rain and wind - definitely get at least one, it works great in to stop wind. I'm thinking of buying another 2 so i can enclose the shelter entirely.
The whole shelter is also surprisingly sturdy in heavy wind. Doesnt matter from which side the wind blows, it sort of pushes the shelter into the ground making it more stable. the guy ropes - use them.

Waste of money! The quality is poor.
With a span of 4.5m the pipes are far too thin and painted, not even galvanized.
My other gazebos that falls into this price tag will outlast this 10x or more.
There is quite a bit of tension on the fly-sheet covering the frame, which is understandable; but to fasten the fly-sheet to the frame using the terrible Velcro straps stitched to the fly-sheet putting a lot of strain on the material where the stitching is done will for sure start to tear the material sooner rather than later.
My personal opinion is that the material should have been stitched in loops where the frame pipes go through to carry the fly-sheet.
Unpacked mine, pitched it, investigated, repacked and applied for refund.

Fantastic product - but virtually impossible for 1 person to put and/or take down :)

Seen the dome in action during a camping trip in March 2015, my old gazebo was folded and broken like match sticks. Next to me was a guy with one of these. The storm did nothing to the Coleman Event Shelter Gazebo (4.5m x4.5m), I was sold one the product immediately. And with the saving of a R1000 rand.
Levona, South Africa. 31 October 2014
My husband and I bought this product, not so long ago. We used it for the first time two weeks ago. One of the poles snapped. Now we are have trouble by trying to exchange it for a new one. So not worth it!!!
karen, South Africa. 2 April 2016
Awesome gazebo. Easy to erect. Lots of shade. Love it.
Aidan, South Africa. 15 February 2016
Huge, fairly easy to set up, 5 stars
Jaco, South Africa. 30 December 2014
Broken black elastics on poles - 2 places. Not even 1 side wall inside...
nice shelter though.
Richard, South Africa. 19 January 2015
Fantastic product. The only recommendation is to get the Coleman Seam Sealer as the seams start to leak due to pulling the fabric over the frame. Works like a bomb.
Philip, South Africa. 23 March 2016
Found it a bit heavy for easy handling. Needs to be secured properly all over. It stood for 7 days through extremely strong winds and rain. No moving and no flapping. It did however incur 2 hole caused by flying sparks. Keep away from open fires. I would recommend it any day. It surpassed my expectations.
Shayl, South Africa. 3 February 2016
Excellent Gazebo, good value for money compared to some other unsturdy/rickety ones that are for sale and that I have bought. Don't let the price fool you, well worth it. I had a friend buy one for our group camping trips and it worked so well another couple bought one and I finally caved and did the same for our solo trips.
You can setup on your own if you aren't to short in about 5-10 mins, I'm 1.7m tall and a women so come on, the more times you do it the easier it gets. If you are on the shorter side though (under 1.6m) you might have issues cause the middle is high which is great for taller people so you don't feel cramped. It is heavy though but that's why it's so stable in the wind.
Shilen, South Africa. 17 December 2016
Easy to assemble

This product looks brilliant, and I'm sure they would improve it at a later stage but its truly poor quality, first set up and it broke.
