- Get more out of your computer by boosting nearly every aspect of performance.
Instantly improve system performance
- The Crucial MX300 reaches read speeds up to 530 MB/s and write speeds up to 510 MB/s1 on all file types so you can boot up almost instantly, reduce load times, and accelerate demanding applications with ease.
- Plus, our Dynamic Write Acceleration technology uses an adaptable pool of high-speed, single-level cell flash memory to generate blistering speeds throughout the drive's long life.
Over 90x more energy efficient than a typical hard drive2
- Extreme Energy Efficiency technology within the Crucial MX300 reduces the amount of active power usage that's consumed by the drive.
- The Crucial MX300 extends your laptop's battery life by using only 0.075W of power, compared to a typical hard drive which uses 6.8W.
Entrust your files to a drive that lasts
- With an endurance rating of up to 220TB total bytes written, the Crucial MX300 is engineered with Micron 3D NAND to deliver years of fast performance.
- The 3D NAND leverages larger NAND cells to improve performance and prolong endurance.
Keep your system cool
- In addition to lower active power usage, Adaptive Thermal Protection technology dynamically adjusts storage component activity.
- This helps keep your system cool and minimizes the risk of damage caused by overheating.
Boost drive performance by up to 10x with Crucial Storage Executive3
- This downloadable tool is easy to use and helps monitor and enhance the performance of your Crucial MX300 - update to the latest firmware and enable the Momentum Cache feature in Storage Executive to instantly improve burst performance.

Upon the recommendation of various people decided to "upgrade" my laptop from a WD 1TB SSHD to this SSD. Did a clean install of windows 10- and now everything running well (did not use the cloning software as per recommendation of other reviews). So what is the outcome? Boot up time is very quick- and when installing new software it is almost instantaneous (read & write time is excellent). Battery life has gone up a little. But other than that- no great advantage- it is just a little better- and if you not constantly writing data that must be done instantly, and are not worried about a boot up time of 30sec or greater- this not going to offer any significant day to day working advantages. So yes there are certain benefits over the former WD SSHD- but not R2300 worth of benefits- and also it is half the size (which is a significant benefit to the HD). If it was R500 more than the equivalent HD I would say it is a no brainier- but it is more than double the price for a SSHD that is double it's capacity- that kind of now makes it a tough decision. Maybe it will be more secure in the long run?- but considering the reliability I have had with WD hard drives in the past (never an issue)- thinking of putting my 1TB SSHD back in- the space is the big deciding factor- and the speed of the SSD is not as much a difference to make giving up that space worth it.

Good product, thank you.

The SSD itself works perfectly. Immediate improvement in performance on my laptop as well as almost double the battery life. I would give it 5 stars but after installing the recommended Acronis clone software, I experienced problems with my Windows 10 explorer freezing often. Found a forum thread on Microsoft that indicated that many users identified the Acronis 2015 software as being a common component that caused this. Otherwise, the drive itself is definitely worth having.
