Wonderful DVD, loaded with special features. featuring 6 featurettes, alot of deleted scenes (17 min of deleted footage), a funny gag reel, a good audio commentary the theatrical trailer is basically a scene from the film (not much effort put in there!) and the menus could have looked nicer, but fortunately it has subtitles and a 36 chapter scene selection, AND of cource it's a fantastically, sinfully, hilarious comedy that should be owned in any dvd collection, especially if you love Meryl Streep's films. She is just perfect in her role as the 'boss from hell'.
Simply... indulgent to have on DVD!!!

Nominated for a Golden Globe as the best comedy of its year, this behind-the-scenes look at the workings of a New York fashion magazine, also has its dramatic moments. Golden Globe winner Meryl Streep gives a calculated performance as the icy magazine editor Miranda Priestly. Miranda is the "devil" of the title - an uncompromising woman who enjoys wielding absolute power at work, but cannot maintain a happy marriage at home. Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is the new employee who very soon finds that her private life must also take a back-seat to her job, and thus jeopardises her love-affair with Nate (Adrian Grenier), who is too down-to-earth to fit in with the fashion world swirling about him. BAFTA & Golden Globe nominated Emily Blunt is Miranda's bitchy assistant Emily, a young woman who is determined to get to the top, no doubt in the same mould as her employer. As a counterpoint to all the female cut and thrust, there is Nigel (Stanley Tucci), who is not above making catty remarks himself, but who does at least have a little humanity under his haughty exterior. Finally, we meet the debonair Christian Thompson (Simon Baker)who makes a play for our herione, Andy, and whose clean-cut good looks provide a marked contrast to the sloppy, unshaven Nate. The result is rather predictable.
Costume designer Pat Field received both a BAFTA and an Oscar nomination for her work on this visually appealing film, ably assisted by coutourier Valentino Garavani (who makes a cameo appearance) and many of the big names in international fashion. Altogether a delightful film, with a moral, for those who like that kind of thing.

Fun and entertaining movie. Love Meryl Streep as the cool, elegant take no nonsense boss. Worth the watch and definitely worth having in your collection.
