Bought two of these sets a few months ago, one for me and one for a good friend due to the attractive pricing of the set. My friend's set had the keyboard stop functioning, but I hope TAKEALOT will handle the returns well enough... :)

I've been using mine effortlessly since purchase though, it's perfect for watching movies/series or controlling the music on the PC with it. It's got a fairly decent range and is very easy to use. I simply inserted the batteries (supplied), plugged in the wireless dongle and (literally) instantly everything was detected, picked up, synchronized and fully operational, no installation and no apps, programs or buttons to press. Plug and play at it's best.

The build quality of the set is very peculiar. I was expecting something along the line of a wireless set for R300 (I paid R298), which isn't a lot at all. Instead I got the same quality I got in my Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse (which cost considerably more). The keyboard and mouse are both very light, though solid. It doesn't produce creaking noises when pressure is applied to the keyboard/mouse and it's easy to pick up the keyboard with only thumb and index finger to move it to the couch for a lazy movie or two. Key presses on the keyboard and clicks and scrolls on the mouse are secure, with good feedback and low travel making it possible to type very fast and feel confident with your clicks. The keyboard allows for multiple buttons to be pressed at the same time, and doesn't kick you out should you want to do a little gaming with it (FPS, little racing). Just don't expect the same level of comfort, support or keystroke programming as from a more expensive gaming keyboard (or the same in more intensive keystroke gaming such as RPG's or RTS's), as it's not what it is.

What it is though is a perfect addition to any computer - at home, at the office or on travel (with a laptop). It's exceptional weight as well as the thin build of the keyboard and the awesome battery life on both keyboard (24 months, every day office use) and mouse (6 months, every day office use) makes it perfect for business use, maybe for operating a laptop/computer when giving presentations, home use (both work and entertainment - think Home Theatre PC) and travel (light, easy to use, no additional apps to eat battery life and comfortable typing). I've been using my set now since December 2011 (now end March 2012, making it 4 months) and the batteries on both keyboard and mouse are still going strong and steady.

I'd recommend this set to anyone. In terms of value for money, build quality, ease of use and battery life this set exceeds any other wireless desktop I've ever used (and I've used several sets from Microsoft, MSI, Compaq, etc.), even sets of considerably higher prices. I'd even recommend this as a primary set for office use over a wired set due to the absolute comfort this set provides. Loving it!
