No, there are no VESA mounts

Instead of spamming the review feature - which is meant for product reviews and not your lame requests of price reduction (Take 2 already offers good prices) go an troll on Gumtree for 2nd hand goods.

I currently have 2 of these screens, hoping to get another one soon.
This monitor is in an entirely different league, very few if any other screens can compete (as far as quality/size/price goes).
This Huge monitor has brilliant colour reproduction. The only problem I see that some people may have is its sheer size, so make sure you have enough desk space.
This is one purchase you won’t regret. Overall, this is a wonderful screen at a very reasonable price.
*Ok, guys, STOP Complaining - R2,754 is a very good price for this screen. Buying directly from suppliers works out more expensive (after vat - from supplier it is2.9k).

What a monitor! It was a toss up between this and the 24" LED Samsung BX-series and I'm glad the 3-inch of extra screen size won me over in the end.
While waiting for mine to arrive I happened to wonder into a local PC shop where they both this monitor and the 24" LED on display. I had them play multiple video streams and games side by side and to be honest I was a little disappointed in the 24" LED's picture quality. Don't get me wrong, there was a clear difference favouring the LED, but certainly not enough to make me choose the smaller of the two.
Colours are great (after some minor fiddling to your own taste), the panel is VERY bright (I toned it down to 85% right off the bat) and motion is as fluid as I've ever seen on any LCD panel. My previous 22" Samsung also claimed to be 2ms, but it's quite obvious that this 27" outdoes it in both PC and Xbox gaming. You'll need to set the response rate using the OSD to get the full effect as it's set to the 2nd fastest setting by default.
My only complaint would be the lack of connections. 1x HDMI and 1xDVI doesn't leave much choice when you're running both your PC and Xbox via HDMI. My solution was to buy a VGA cable for the Xbox.

This thing is gorgeous. The slight red tint in the shiny plastic and that see through stand makes it very classy. The image is also great as long as you turn the contrast all they way down to 0 and Brightness up to about 80. Just a pitty it does not have a line in but then again why should it, it does not have speakers.

apparently asking them to take the price down does work, come on take 2, give us something more substantial like another R200 to the initial R80 or so you've given us now.

I ordered 1 of these screens, it arrived with massive backlight bleed on all four sides, was picked up for repair (thought it was a great screen aside from that fact, ordered another for my mom as a tv, thought to myself what are the chances I get a dud a second time)
It came back with a humming noise at most brightness levels and a slightly skew picture sloping off to the right. (whether or not I had missed these problems the first time due to it's short stay is irrelevant since they weren't fixed at CRT). This screen is currently at CRT a SECOND time.
Meanwhile the second P2770H had arrived, ..guess what, massive backlight bleed on 70-80% of the top and bottom edges and a high-medium pitch hum. Suffice to say it is being returned to have it's inverter board fixed at CRT, ..however as with the first screen the first trip did not result in an end to my woes.
Samsung Quality control lately = 0!!
Mood = Bleak.

i compared this screen side by side to the 23" LED a while ago.. the LED was definitely brighter.. but the picture quality was pretty much the same.
the only difference between LCD and LED is the back light... the part that makes the picture is the same.. im going to be getting another 1 of these bad boys in the foreseeable future

I agree with Kirk H. Get the BX2450 LED. I have the pleasure of owning one and let me tell you - the quality is SUPERB. Yes the P2770H is a huge 27-inch screen, however, the quality of the BX2450 is far better.

Me 5. If Take2 drop the price to R2500 I'll buy one. I swear Take2! I will!
If you'll also buy one then sign the petition and change the world forever.

Anyone know if this has VESA mounts?

Stunning monitor. Bright enough for any situation. Bleed is minimal but also present as with all monitors in this price range (actually this monitor has way less light bleed than my previous 22" Samsung). Crisp visuals, don't believe that pixel pitch will be an issue because I can't see the pixels. 27" is awesome, you can NEVER go too big.

on Kirk H's comment...
me 4!
Price has fallen quite a bit in the last 6 months and should fall even faster in the next... but then I'll propably want the Samsung 32" at R3500 more :P

I finally decided to replace my 19" monitor which has served me very well. This monitor however is in an entirely different league. Not only is this monitor MASSIVE but colour reproduction is good enough for most people. There is a tiny (almost imperceivable) amount of back light "bleed" along the bottom edge of the screen.
The only problem is that on default settings the screen may be a little bright but this is easily remedied by decreasing the brightness to the 30 - 40 region. The only other problem I see for some people is the sheer size so be sure you have a desk big enough.
Overall this is a wonderful screen at a very reasonable price.

Theunis go and read my review of the BX2450 and buy it.LED is the best and it's cheaper than this one
Theunis Steyn

Received this screen yesterday.
I upgraded from a 22" Samsung 2233GW and the difference is quite big.
So far I tested it with wow, a animated movie and some anime and I'm really happy with it.
Had to turn down the brightness a bit as it is A LOT brighter than most monitors I have ever seen.
I do believe it was worth it :D
