Its a good data logger, but as a smart watch it seems to fail. Usually bluetooth connections are slow to indicate incoming SMSs and calls. The last application update causes it to sync much slower than it used to.
Heart rate monitor works very well.
Logs all other data exceptionally.
Weekly updates and graphical interface on the app are very user friendly.
GPS works reasonably well most of the time although once it logged 16km of walking in 1 hour (I'm not capable of that speed).
The large band also has some damage to it after 6 weeks of use, but it is still very strong and usable. Bands cannot be changed BTW.

I absolutely love my Fitbit surge. The Fitbit app is also incredible and user-friendly. On the app it displays data like steps taken, sleep, calories, active minutes, and exercise. You can set goals on your app and the app will keep you updated with progress. The data is almost 100% accurate. The GPS tracks my runs accurately. The heart rate monitor has a slight delay in tracking your heart beat when you start exercising(about 1 min). Overall I think the Fitbit surge is great for anyone who wants to take their health and fitness seriously. However I think that if you are a serious athlete and need your data to be 100% accurate (if you need every second to be exact) I'm not so sure you should invest in the Fitbit surge. Otherwise I love my Fitbit and I believe it will make a great impact to my health.

Do not buy this their strap breaks after 18 months and Fitbit refuses to repair the device.
Please do a proper Google search and see how many are broken these devices have a defect.
