Complete first series of the animated series, the first new creation from 'The Simpsons' creator, Matt Groening. In the first, pilot episode 'Space Pilot 3000' a twentysomething pizza delivery boy called Fry ends a lame New Year's Eve 1999 vowing to do better next year. But when he accidentally cyrogenically freezes himself and re-awakens in 2999 AD he gets the new life he could never have anticipated. Tracking down his futuristic descendants leads Fry to Professor Farnsworth, his cyclops delivery captain Leela, and a morally-challenged robot called Bender. Fry's assimilation turns out to be anything but straightforward. In 'The Series Has Landed' Fry is now working as an intergalactic delivery boy (tellingly not much of a change from pizza) and, excitingly, is sent on a mission to the Moon. When he arrives however, the theme-park on the Moon is anything but a safe day out... In 'I, Roommate' Fry starts to demotivate in his delivery job and gets chucked out of his flat. Moving in with Bender the robot leads to an antenna-ectomy when his aerial interferes with tv reception... In 'Love's Labours Lost in Space' Leela, Fry and Bender are on a mission to save animals on a doomed planet. When they cross paths with macho starship captain Zapp Brannigan Leela becomes the unwilling target of the astronaut's affections, summoning her to his 'Lovenasium'... In 'Fear of a Bot Planet' Bender becomes infused with revolutionary consciousness when confronted by the sight of robots being used as mere cleaning machines at the Madison Cube Gardens. When he arrives sometime later on a planet entirely run by a belligerent robot society, Bender must choose between his human friends or his new-found celebrity status on the planet. In 'A Fishful of Dollars' Fry goes on an epic spending spree when it emerges that the workings of compound interest on his bank account mean he is now worth 4,000,000,000 dollars. Weirdly, the quest for expensive commodities leads him to a future delicacy... anchovies, protected by Pamela Anderson's head in a jar and a sinister conglomerate. In 'My Three Suns' Fry, Leela, Bender and crew arrive on an arid planet in the Galaxy of Terror. Mission completed, Fry knocks back a much-needed drink, but it turns out he has swallowed the planet's liquid-form monarch and Fry is immediately named new Emperor. In 'A Big Piece of Garbage', a massive piece of intergalactic refuse from Earth's past is heading straight for the planet, but can Fry, Leela and Bender save the world? In 'Hell is Other Robots' Bender falls prey to an electricity addiction and ends up in robot Hell. Fry and Leela have to save him from Beezlebot, the robotic Lucifer. In 'A Flight to Remember' Professor Farnsworth treats his staff to a space-vacation cruise. However when it turns out that the captain is Leela's much regretted former one-night stand Zapp Brannigan she pretends that Fry is her boyfriend. The trouble starts when it becomes clear that Amy has told her parents the same thing. In 'Mars University' Fry ends up rooming with a talking monkey, who starts ace-ing Fry's grades. Meanwhile Bender finds himself the toast of the nerd robots, corrupting them with his drinking and ill-behaviour. In 'When Aliens Attack' it seems only the talents of Zapp Brannigan can save the world from total destruction at the hands of belligerent, lazer-toting aliens. However, despite getting a formidable posse of ships together from Earth the aliens triumph. It transpires that the cause of the aliens ire lies in the fact that they've never caught the last episode of 'Single Female Lawyer' a drama series from 20th century television. Fry remembers the show and with Leela and the others they attempt to mock up a final episode to assuage the aliens vengeful TV lust. In 'Fry and the Slurm Factory' our hero gets addicted to the most popular drink in New New York, Slurm. The team cheat and win a trip to the Slurm factory where they meet the seemingly inexhaustible and cool Slurms Mackenzie, the party slug and face of the company. But falling into the Slurm river during the visit brings Fry and Leela face to face with the true source of the wondrous drink, as it is excreted by a massive slug queen. To protect the secret Fry, Leela and Farnsworth mustn't be allowed to escape, and only the efforts of the dangerously overworked Slurms Mackenzie can save them...
