Of course you want to know — When do I get it?
We strive at all times to get it to you sooner but here are some indications:
If we say In Stock, we dispatch same day (if ordered before 14:00 on a working day) and depending on where you stay it will be with you the next working day (Main Centres) or the next working day after that (Regional Areas). If you are in a remote area it may take an additional working day (a day longer than Regional).
If we say In Stock (You can also collect in cpt), the stock is available from our Cape Town warehouse and you can collect on the same working day if your payment has been authorised and you collect before 5pm.
If we say dispatched between X and Y days then it takes X to Y days to receive from a supplier and it will then be with you within a working day after dispatched (Main Centres) or the working day after that (Regional Areas). If you are in a remote area it may take an additional working day (a day longer than Regional Areas).
Imports are a best effort service, we strive to get it to you as soon as possible within the guidelines above but it's not always within our complete control so if something goes wrong we will let you know.

- Notes
- The sci-fi role-playing epic continues, as the Mass Effect story delves into darker territory and the fate of Commander Shepard, his crew and the entire galaxy.
A streamlined combat system makes the game even more action-packed than before, with a new regenerating health system that means you spend less time fiddling with menus and more time shooting enemies. You can also direct teammates individually with a simple press of a button, giving you greater tactical control over every encounter.
The number of planets you can explore, and the complexity of the sub quests you find on them, has been greatly expanded from the first game - giving you a whole galaxy to explore at will. The original game was the most cohesive mix yet of action game and role-player and this sequel goes even further in combing both genres into one giant space opera. Key Features
Episode Two: Commander Shepard returns as the award-winning action role-player offers up even more intense storytelling and a whole new threat to humanity.
All action: All-new combat options make the game even more action-packed, with more versatile controls, more weapons and better management of allies.
Age of discovery: Even more exploration options than before, with more detailed side quests and many more developed planets to visit.
Good talker: Revamped conversation system is more dynamic than ever, with faster, more realistic dialogue and a new cinematic camera.
Ongoing story: If you have a save file from the first Mass Effect then the decisions you made will have an effect on the new game and old characters will remember you.

Stewart, BOTHASIG. 2 February 2010
With Saran defeated after the first in the series, the sequel starts with the Normandy crew scouting for Geth and any other
signs of the Reapers. The Normandy soon comes under fire from an unknown spacecraft and is ripped apart, sending our hero,
Sheperd, hurtling out into space towards a nearby planet. These are the first 15 minutes of Mass Effect 2, and without a
single shot fired, the game had me hooked already. Soon after you are forced to fight your way off a space station (I won't
give too much away to avoid spoilers, but the fact that the hero survives the first 15mins should be obvious). This is where
the first and sequel start to differ already.
The automatic cover system of the first has been replaced with a Gears of War type system, with a cover/action button so that
you can decide when to cover, when to jump over cover, when to dash out, and so on. I personally liked the automatic system,
but this one starts making sense as you put the hours in and of course fans of Gears and Uncharted will feel right at home.
The squad tactics have also been changed and play much better. With a simple tap of the Q or E keys you can send a squad
member to the targeted area, or to attack the enemy. There is still the pause mode, where you can pause the action and execute
more specific commands, but it's far more effective and streamlined this time around. Within no time you'll be issuing orders
and managing your team without even thinking about, which is an achievement in itself. One thing that is missing from the
combat is loot. You read it right, dead bodies do not drop or contain loot. Instead, weapon and armor upgrades and items
usually considered loot are found along the path of the combat or mission, and also a cash injection is rewarded upon
completing a mission. It's a bit different and some RPG fans might not like it, but it works well at keeping the pace going
and also keeping the player involved with the game world. The lack of loot also means no need for an inventory, so there is no
bothersome item management screen (I'm looking at you, Mass Effect 1!) to deal with. Instead, once you have a weapon, you have
it for good. Another new addition is ammo, which was unlimited before. I'm not sure if this is a good addition or bad, but it
works just fine and forces you to be more precise with your aiming - head shots deal a lot more damage to your targets, so
it's best not to waste your shots. The XP and levelling system has been stripped down to bare essentials as well, which in
some ways I prefer in the way it forces more specialised characters, instead of the general jack-of-all-trades most players
tend to play.
Probably the best part is the characters. All are interesting in their own way and it's great to see some old allies return,
even if they weren't my favourite ones. The one gripe I have with the returning characters is that it seems Bioware decided to
make them all bad-ass this time round - more violent, more in charge of themselves. For some it works, for others it seems a
bit far fetched. Attention to detail in the environments and characters are what you'd expect from Bioware - it's simply mind
blowing at times. There are moments where things don't look right, but if you look past these minor mishaps it's near perfect.
Textures are sharp and detailed, and many of the popin issues the previous title suffered from have been resolved. There are
some annoyign bugs that seem to happen more often than I'd like to admit. One particular bug sets the player floating off the
ground, stuck in a box, unable to move past that invisible space. This has happened about 4 or 5 times, and it just breaks an
otherwise unbroken, perfect experience.
And that's what Mass Effect 2 is, a near perfect gaming experience. If you haven't ordered a copy yet, I strongly suggest you
do. And if you have a copy of Mass Effect 1, I STRONGLY suggest playing it through first. Not only can you import your save
game to continue with your character, including some XP, looks and story decisions, but the second makes many references to
the first, and sometimes it can lose you. There's enough for old and new comers here to keep us all entertained for a very
long time!
