Supplier out of stock

Of course you want to know — When do I get it?

We strive at all times to get it to you sooner but here are some indications:

If we say In Stock, we dispatch same day (if ordered before 14:00 on a working day) and depending on where you stay it will be with you the next working day (Main Centres) or the next working day after that (Regional Areas). If you are in a remote area it may take an additional working day (a day longer than Regional).

If we say In Stock (You can also collect in cpt), the stock is available from our Cape Town warehouse and you can collect on the same working day if your payment has been authorised and you collect before 5pm.

If we say dispatched between X and Y days then it takes X to Y days to receive from a supplier and it will then be with you within a working day after dispatched (Main Centres) or the working day after that (Regional Areas). If you are in a remote area it may take an additional working day (a day longer than Regional Areas).

Imports are a best effort service, we strive to get it to you as soon as possible within the guidelines above but it's not always within our complete control so if something goes wrong we will let you know.

And then there's a Friday, sigh... Try order early on a Friday, we can then try our best to get it to you on the same day (Main centres), otherwise we will have to get it to you during the next week.

If this is all too confusing, call us on 0861 222 989 or send an e-mail to info@takealot.com. One of our friendly employees will get back to you pronto.

Description

As the invasion begins, players choose to battle as one of five unique classes in either the EDF (Earth Defense Force humans) or the barbaric alien Strogg armies, each augmented with specialist weapons and combat hardware. Troops utilize over 40 conventional and futuristic vehicles, deployable structures, and defense systems like quad-bikes, tanks, and alien walkers for epic ground assaults; or helicopters and anti-gravity ships to lend firepower from the air. Throughout each battle, teams establish bases, deploy defense structures, artillery, radar, and advanced forward-command systems into enemy territory while constructing and demolishing obstacles to speed progress and gain a tactical advantage over the enemy.

With realistic dynamic lighting and shadowing from headlights, searchlights and even the moon, battles can be fought during the day or night; while accurate simulation of the atmosphere, weather, and vegetation combine to create an unparalleled degree of realism. Battlefields are perfectly rendered using MegaTexture, a totally new rendering technology developed by id Software that crunches millions of polygons and a gigabyte-scale texture into a single, seamless and un-tiled landscape with unique detail down to the square inch or the un-obscured distant horizon.

Guys, people can judge a game based on the DEMO which has been out for 3 weeks.

Andrew Baddeley

Of course they can, but look at the moron whom reviewed it in 2006. Kids wetting themselves over a video game... get a life.

Gustav Minnie

I really don't see how people can rate a game they haven't even played yet.
Adrian you must have some connections. Goeie werk ou maat!

From the previews this game looks amazing. I think we'll be lucky to see this game released this year. If so, good.... but this will be worth the wait. Can't go wrong with id Software & partners.

bradley naidoo

Why does this silly website allow ppl to rate items that have not been released yet ?

nicolas stephens

Havent played it but read everything about it can't wait for it to be reliesed. The game will be like UT 2004 were you capture huds to advance through the map. Arm yourself and hop in a vehicle of MASS DESTRUCTION and go and kill some Squids or Humans.

Quintus Grobler

A fair idea with horrible execution. I've played both multiplayer and single player, and while MP is bearable (as opposed to an even worse SP), it's still horrible. The graphics, even at time of release, were outdated, the maps were monotonous and the gameplay fell short of everything you could hope to have in a Quake series game.

Honestly, a mediocre attempt to reboot the multiplayer elements Quake 3 : Arena became so famous for, by using a pathetic cloned engine from Battlefield.

Almost 4 years later and the disappointment still hurts.

Grant Mattheys

Not great as a single player - spawning sucks
