OVERLOOKED GEM OF THE YEAR!! is all I can really say about this game. At first I was not sure, it didn’t particularly look very pretty (Mars terrain all looks the same), the story wasn’t really told too well, with things happening that didn’t make much sense, but once I got into it, I found that something was happening to me, something I hadn’t felt in a long time. I was having FUN, this game let's you do stuff I have NEVER seen in another game.
Let me paint a quick picture, I need to rescue 2 mine workers, they are being kept inside a well defended fortress, I ready my jetpack, I fly up to the 4rth floor, I blow a hole in the wall with my Nano-forge rifle (pretty much melts anything), I fly in, shoot the floor out from underneath 3 heavily armed guards, they fall down to the level below, I run up the stairs, free the workers, I make another easy to escape hole in the wall, I fly out, I place 15 thermal bombs around the place, I hop in my getaway tank that I stole from the guards, I flip the lever, and I TOTALY DESTROY the whole building, I flattened it, bad guys still inside.
This game features the Geo-Mod engine, that means, you can pretty much destroy ANYTHING, you can topple buildings, destroy bridges, you name it, you can do it. NOTHING beats shooting a hole in a bridge and then seeing the tank chasing you, fall to his doom. At this asking price, RECOMMENDED!
