Ultra Durable 2
Using high quality components on graphics cards is the key factor for having a long lasting, stable and reliable product. Gigabyte is again setting a new standard by using Ferrite Core Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET and Lower ESR Solid Capacitors, providing the stability and reliability from their high-end graphics solution. In addition,
Gigabyte Ultra Durable 2 Edition graphics cards now feature a sophisticated layout topology. This state-of-the-art power design from Gigabyte delivers the ideal integration of thermal, electric characteristics, digital signals, power circuitry and optimum placement of components for enhanced graphics performance.
Triangle Cool Fan Technology
This new Triangle Cool fansink integrates a patented triangle-shaped aluminum block into the aluminum extrusion module. The triangle design not only minimizes the
turbulence between extruded aluminum fins, but also enhances heat dissipation to improve cooling efficiency for the whole fansink.

The not-so-technical review:
Whether you're a designer looking to make the most of your design software, you're a gamer looking for a graphics card to play all your favourite games, or you're an engineer using programs such as AutoCAD - the Gigabyte GT740 overclocked is the perfect entry-to-mid level GPU for YOU!
The technical review:
I had a GT730 and enjoyed it's limited graphical capabilities, as I was not much of a gamer back then. I moved on to a GTX560Ti that I bought second hand, and it was a big jump. I was finally able to add anti-aliasing and things like motion blur to my gaming experience. Well, the second hand GPU gave up on me (as to be expected from second hand stuff) and I needed a replacement. Not only is the GT740 a fraction of the cost of a new GTX560Ti, but it has all the capabilities of the higher model card! Shocking right?? The GT740 is clocked at 1072mHz (originally 900-odd), but comes with OC Guru for those days that you need a little performance boost... Those days, admittedly, will be few and far between.

Really nice card for the price. Plays games like Skyrim & Dishonored at minimum 30fps at highest graphics settings and at 1080p resolution. Assassin's Creed 4 also playable, but on medium settings and at 1360*768.
Also make sure you have a 6-pin PCI-E power port on your PSU as this card needs one.

It is brilliant. Silent, affordable price, smooth. Comes with a molex converter for those that doesn't have a 6-pin pci cable on their psu. Runs Nfs rivals good at ultra and tested it on crysis 3 on medium, also great.

My son is EXTREMELY happy with the card - much better than the previous one he had, but then again Gigabyte has always being an amazing brand
