I ordered this phone and had to send it back as there were bubbles under the actual glass. The replacement phone was even worse - bigger bubbles under the glass. Yes, you read right - UNDER THE GLASS! So disappointed as it seemed like a decent enough phone for the price.

Excellent phone overly. Battery last 2 days or so. Screen is clear and bright, camera is of high quality. Smooth operation.
The only flaws I can think of is that it does not have a micro sd card slot and that you have to keep opening the waterproof hatch to access th charging port. I fear this might break at some point. Maybe if they include wireless charging in the next version it will get 5 stars.

Had phone for a week, very happy so far.

Ordered the phone. It has a meaningless IP-67 Certification due to the headphone jack being exposed...no rubber seal. Returned it. Went to Takealot to exchange and opened the next one in front of the staff and guess what...still no seal. The bold area added in the description by takealot is meaningless and rubbish. I use IP-67 Certified phones all the time. If it has that certification all openings are to be sealed and you, the user, have the option to open and close it when and if you tend to use the function. I have taken this up with Hisense themselves and it has now been almost a month and they don't appear to understand the meaning of customer service. Check the SA websites where the phone is reviewed. It is obvious that it has place for this seal. Various websites clearly show this as well as Youtube reviews. Takealot telling customers this missing item will not compromise your phone have NO idea what the meaning is of the certification stated on the packaging. In short...if you use this phone in rugged and hostile weather conditions it's not a question of "If it will break"....It is simply "When will it break." Poor from Hisense not addressing this and more so from takealot making false statements to make more sales.

This device is money well spent. It does everything that it set out to do. Definatly a winner in the market of affordable devices.
4 stars only because it didn't come with a plug to seal the audio jack

I had a Samsung S4 mini before. The reason I upgraded is because the battery life was too short and I couldn't update my apps anymore due to no space on the built-in memory. The Hisense phone is definitely a step up. I love the fact that I can go two days without charging. It's fast, feels good in my hand, the sound quality is great, the camera front and back is great and it can probably take a few knocks due to the rubberised edges. The only two things I don't like is that it doesn't make provision for a SD card and the glass tend to get dirty (smudge) easily. Other than that, for the price this is a very good buy.

Probably the best value for money smartphone in SA - 2 weeks into using it and no issues whatsoever. Performs great!

Excellent. Had this phone now for six weeks. Battery life is very good, camera is good. This phone can compete with the best, at half the price. Nice one Hisense.

it's great, but no add-ons available in SA, such as screen protectors etc...

Great phone for the price but unfortunately had to send mine back as the rubber waterproof cap was missing on the headphone jack which makes it waterproof. Got another one and still its missing the rubber cap. Now given up on the missing cap hence now the phone is not waterproof

It is a nice phone. Not all functions are so easy to use as I expected. For instance the voice commands are difficult.
There is no plug for the earphone supplied. I contracted Hisense and they said it was necessary despite their manual and a reminder on the phone saying that all (plural) covers should be in place for it to be waterproof. I don't dare try it in the wet but would be much happier with an earphone plug, at least to keep out dirt and will probably have to make my own.

Love the phone very nice screen very good battery life and overall just a nice phone only down side I didn't get the top waterproof plug for the headphone jack. For that only 4 stars for the phone quality 5 stars
