Lightweight, badly constructed. Could make ok coffe, but won't last. Avoid.

Very nice product that is simple to use and suited our needs perfectly. Very good price too.
mariette, South Africa. 11 November 2016
Wow, we were really surprised by this little coffee machine's performance at this price!
Pierre, South Africa. 20 September 2016
Very nice machine it just vibrates a lot when making a cup of coffee.
Thomas, South Africa. 26 September 2016
Very happy with this product. I had a similar level of machine from a different manufacturer before and this one compares very favourably. I highly doubt you'll find a better espresso machine for a similar price.
Chris, South Africa. 30 September 2016
At the price I suppose I cannot be too harsh on this machine, but paying money for something that does not work is a waste of money. Upon first use, filled up the water tank making sure that the water tank is properly in place. All of the water ran out over my kitchen counter. Upon inspection I came to the conclusion that the water tank does not properly seal where it connects with the machine.
James, South Africa. 10 October 2016
Very happy so far!
It's now been about 2 weeks with the machine and no complaints given it's price tag.
Machine is making 8 - 10 cups of coffee a day without any hassles.
The crema produced is actually quite incredible - almost enough to qualify as a cappuccino!
In summary - a great espresso maker for the discounted price!
Bernadene, South Africa. 23 September 2016
Currently happy with the product. Steam outlet produces more water than expected. Coffee creamy and hot.
Anton, South Africa. 22 March 2017
I LOVE this machine! Simple but elegant and effective! Awesome for the price!
Stephen, South Africa. 22 September 2016
A nifty machine. This is a cost effective machine that allows you to make that espresso/Americano that you need in the morning. The only issue is that, obviously with buying a budget machine, the water heater isn't powerful enough to heat the water to hot for 2 cups. Make one cup at a time. The milk frother is also a little low, making it difficult to get a container underneath it. Otherwise, even if the machine only lasts 2 years, it is a working, and cost effective purchase.
Neill, South Africa. 4 April 2017
Great product, works just as expected. Once figured out it makes one hell of a nice espresso or coffee.
CHris, South Africa. 24 October 2016
Great machine; it compares favourably with other more expensive machines and also has enough space for a large mug. I am disappointed that there is a dent on the control panel and there was a glove left behind in the water tank which would indicate that it is a refurbished machine.
sabine, South Africa. 6 October 2016
for all those latte macchiato addicts out there, who can't do without their daily dose, Mellerware trento espresso maker, is the machine to go for and it doesn't cost the earth!
Robert, South Africa. 8 November 2016
I bought it back a while ago and I still think it's worth it.
The crema is on point.
It's easy to use.
Heats up reasonably fast.
As others have said, you need short-ish cups to fit in the machine and the milk frother is a little bit low so its hard to get a jug under it to froth the milk in. It does vibrate quite a lot while making coffee, but I just put a hand on it and its fine. Mine came with a dent, but I don't really mind, and it does feel cheap to the touch.
Overall its great for the price. It feels a little cheap and has one or two quirks relating to its compact size, but some might label the size a big plus. Awesome little machine, and my instant Jacobs coffee hasn't been touched since getting it.
Nikki, South Africa. 21 March 2017
My coffee-loving husband was skeptical that this machine could produce a decent cup, but he is converted. It make better coffee and my father-in-law's top of the range machine, and the frother is exceptionally good.
Arno, South Africa. 14 September 2016
I bought this one at about month ago. It works like a pro. It steams the milk perfectly and it creates excellent espressos'. The steam pump is very good on this. A barista who lives with me, made an amazing cappuccino, which looks exactly like the ones he makes in the coffee store.
The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because after making the second or third cup, the one nossle (it has 2) was spewing more air than coffee. It might be only my unit. I learned to handle it though.
Otherwise, it is a excellent entry level machine for someone who want to make great coffee, without spending over R5K for a coffee machine.
It was money well spent.

I purchased two of these units. For the price, the Trento is actually very good value. Produces a perfectly acceptable cup of espresso with a very decent crema, and at the correct temperature. The frothing wand gives a false impression of delivering too little steam, but in truth, gives exactly the right amount required to produce very acceptable foam. The trick is to use the right jug, the space under the wand is limited. The only negatives I could see was that the pump is somewhat noisy, the draining grid rattles a bit and that it is a single boiler unit, but it is very good value for money, plus the 2-year warranty is a bonus. Would I recommend it? Yes. Would I purchase another? Also yes. My colleague agrees with me completely.
Leslie, South Africa. 24 October 2016
It makes a very good cup of coffee. Much better than expected.
It doesn't have the look and feel of the more expensive models, but it works well.
Punching way above it's weight!
Charl, South Africa. 1 November 2016
It does not produce crema. When I use finely ground coffee it seems like the machine does not exert enough pressure to give an even flow of coffee (the coffee drips into the mug). It extracts well enough to give a nice strong coffee, but the extraction is very unpredictable. I struggle to make the same cup of coffee twice in a row. Well, for that price one can't really complain about the quality, can you?
Pierre, South Africa. 20 October 2016
Simple and easy to use. Product produced excellent coffee. Great price.
marco, South Africa. 7 December 2016
Good product with reasonable price
Daniel, South Africa. 21 October 2016
It's really good value for money. They do suggest you preheat the mugs, although the temp was perfect for me, others may find it a little cold. It is best to get shorter mugs to fit but all in all I'm super happy to be drinking real caps. The steamer works like a charm.
Duann, South Africa. 19 December 2016
Works brilliant for the price it is.
Juan-Pierre, South Africa. 17 November 2016

jeandre, South Africa. 7 November 2016
