Fan does not even spin when not gaming
Can run all the games at MAX Settings 1920X1080 even higher
For example new game Shadow of Mordor Average FPS 88.49 At Highest settings
a R9 290X can only manage Average of 64.93 at same settings
New Call of duty AW GtX970 = 129Fps
R9 290X= 126Fps
even on this game it outperforms a Gtx Titan black and a Gtx 780TI at 1920X1080
Good service from takealot as usual thanks

Beautiful card, runs like a beast, very glad i didn't go for the 980 and paid almost double for only a few fps more. Will add another 970 for sli in a year or so to keep running at 120hz if needed.

Truly amazing card!!! Without a doubt one of the best choices for Midrange on the market!!

Great GPU. So far can't find a game that it can't run with everything on ultra at 1080P at a steady 60fps - and usually way more. I get 400fps+ in CS:GO with everything on highest, so I'm happy. Card is fairly quiet as well and a little shorter than a typical GTX970 so is a perfect fit in my small mid tower. Power usage is also quite a bit lower than my previous card. An excellent upgrade.

At the time of this review it is R7249, however I bought mine only a few months earlier at R5799. Also at pick up, the box was not sealed, which apparently is standard practice.
GTX 970 - Perfect card to 1080p gaming, destroys anything out at the moment, however if you are looking at 4k gaming, make sure you have a top end i5 or an i7 with plenty of ram. No point getting the GTX980 if you are using a normal 1080p screen and mid level i3 or i5
Nvidia - I was an AMD fanboy but this card has been money well spent as AMD has only released HBM tech on its top end card
Do your research on this card, they state this card has 4GB VRAM, however this is actually 3.5 GB of VRAM and 500mb of some other slower RAM. On release this caused massive PR crisis for Nvidia. However I would regret buying the GTX960.
MSI - I am a fan of MSI however compared to Gigabyte and Asus, this card did not come with much extra content in the box, just an adapter. Looks great, would be nice to have options on the colour.
Awesome card, if you into your gaming, save up a bit more and get this

Please beware, the card is actually 280mm long. I now have to either get a refund or purchase a new computer case.

Nice looking card. Unfortunately, in my case, not good on longevity though. Worked fine for exactly two weeks and then died. Display went black, computer wouldn't post on successive reboot attempts. Have since reinstalled my four year old Gigabyte GTX 560ti, which I will continue to use until I eventually decide on my next GPU.

Can it run crysis? An age old pc gamer question. Boy oh boy let me tell you.. I plugged this bad boy in and my PC immediately transformed into OPTIMUS FREAKING PRIME and started carrying on about some sparky thing, destroyed my parents garden. Then optimus setup a lan in my house and played crysis all night long. Why are you still reading? Buy this card!!!

Awesome GPU. Super fast, quiet and was cheaper here then anywhere else I checked.

Really nice graphics card and runs all my games perfectly, including gta 5 with very high settings. Its a must buy.

Got mine yesterday.
So excited to see how this GPU would performed. Definitely best value for money, considering this is one of the top end from nVidia GPUs.
I'm now running all my games at maximum graphic settings.
The only issue is that your 60Hz 1080p monitor will not be able to keep up with the performance so vSync needed to be enabled with the games.

I met my wife on a lovely evening in Paris. While looking at the beautiful sky under the Eiffel tower, my gaze was drawn down, as if controlled by someone, until it met hers. I smiled, she smiled. It was love at first sight. We've been married 6 years now and I can honestly say that nothing will ever top the love I have for this card.
