Released to pre-order

Of course you want to know — When do I get it?

We strive at all times to get it to you sooner but here are some indications:

If we say In Stock, we dispatch same day (if ordered before 14:00 on a working day) and depending on where you stay it will be with you the next working day (Main Centres) or the next working day after that (Regional Areas). If you are in a remote area it may take an additional working day (a day longer than Regional).

If we say In Stock (You can also collect in cpt), the stock is available from our Cape Town warehouse and you can collect on the same working day if your payment has been authorised and you collect before 5pm.

If we say dispatched between X and Y days then it takes X to Y days to receive from a supplier and it will then be with you within a working day after dispatched (Main Centres) or the working day after that (Regional Areas). If you are in a remote area it may take an additional working day (a day longer than Regional Areas).

If we say Pre-order it means that your item will be dispatched to you on the day it's released.

We always try our very best to get it to you as soon as possible but cannot guarantee same day delivery.

Imports are a best effort service, we strive to get it to you as soon as possible within the guidelines above but it's not always within our complete control so if something goes wrong we will let you know.

And then there's a Friday, sigh... Try order early on a Friday, we can then try our best to get it to you on the same day (Main centres), otherwise we will have to get it to you during the next week.

If this is all too confusing, call us on 0861 222 989 or send an e-mail to info@takealot.com. One of our friendly employees will get back to you pronto.

When do I get it?

Description

The Toronto Film Festival kicked off this past weekend and one of the films to open up the annual festival was Showtime's upcoming documentary, From The Sky Down, which chronicles the making of the timeless U2 classic album, Achtung Baby.

Originally released in 1991, Achtung Baby is most known for containing notable U2 tracks such as "Mysterious Ways," "Until The End of the World," and the universally and critically acclaimed "One," which has gone on to be used as a theme song for many causes from AIDS Awareness to social injustice. What most U2 fans, or rather average ones, don't know is the drama that went on behind the scenes during the creation of the album. Achtung Baby also marked the beginning of U2's famous ZooTV tour that lasted for three years and led into the group's follow-up album Zooropa.

From acclaimed director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth), From the Sky Down features U2's creative process in making Achtung Baby the album we have all come to love and adore today. To mark the album's 20th anniversary, Guggenheim and U2 returned to Berlin's Hansa Studios, the place where the magic originally happened back in October 1990, where the band rehearsed for this year's Glastonbury Festival.

The documentary will air on Saturday, October 29th, 2011 @8/9c only on Showtime. The following Monday will see the 20th Anniversary release of five reissue releases, each with their own individual lists of goodies. From The Sky Down itself will be included in one of those reissue sets. A separate release is expected to drop later and will be available for both DVD and Blu-ray formats.

For the premiere, U2 band members Bono and The Edge took time out for a photo with Showtime President of Entertainment David Nevins and Guggenheim on the red carpet. In my book, all four men are lucky to be in the company of each other.
