love the design and layout!
I am how ever a little disappointed at the quality...the tent battled in a strong wind and some strapping and hooks broke off.
Hardy, South Africa. 1 March 2014
Great design and well thought out. However when we unpacked ours at our campsite, the elastic holding the pole sections together was broken so we had to figure out the lengths and then battled to thread them.
I am sure Takealot will sort this out as it's otherwise a really nice product..
Alexis, South Africa. 26 March 2014
Nice tent, really simple to put up, and a good size for two or 3 people at most. The additional space in the front of the tent is ideal for chairs, coolers etc, and the fact that there is a door at the back and every face of the tent has either windows or doors makes this a great tent for hot weather!
Ropes and pegs are not the best quality, and we will probably need to replace these... And there is no ground sheet for the front of the tent. We have yet to see how it stands up to some rain, however this tent is still great value!

Really great product, like the overhang awning especially, Bag is a bit flimsy tho, but all in all its a great package at a great price.
Rupert, South Africa. 7 April 2014
Very good quality product!
James, South Africa. 11 April 2014
Excellent value for money with lots of features and great ventilation
Robert, South Africa. 12 April 2014
Had to decide between this and a Bushbaby. I think I made the wrong choice. One of the straps tore of when assembling tent for first time, as well a hole was discovered on the roof after spraying water on the tent for the first time as per instructions from Oztrail manual. The tent is very roomy and very well ventilated. Not a horrible tent, but would rather recommend a Bushbaby or campmaster.

Awesome product. Plenty of room, well ventilated during the day and warm at night. Easy to erect and packs away into a very compact carry bag which takes up very little space when packing the car. I liked the patio extension in front, was very convenient to store the cooler-box camping chairs etc at night. It also has a back entrance so was nice to use it at night so you didn't have to worry about getting past the cooler box etc if you had to get up. We camped where there were plenty of spiders and none of them were able to get inside the tent. I will definitely recommend this product. Looks great too.

Both front zips on the portico, the "front door" of the tent, failed through normal use (zipping and unzipping and not weather, etc) within 4 days. These zips effectively close the front door to the tent so without these zips working, there was no "door" to the tent and the tent was open and I was exposed to wind and cold (luckily there was no rain!). I will not purchase this brand's products again and would certainly not recommend this tent or this brand's products to anyone.

Sterk wind trotseer in Cederberge en Ai-Ais.
Nog nie met reen getoets nie.
Goed spasie vir 2 mense met sakke, sal sukkel met 4.
Lekker uitleg met voorkamer vir ekstra items. (Kampstoele, yskas, kratte)
Werk beste saam grondseil/skadunet, gebruik n 3mx6m
Net laag as binne wil staan as langer as 1.8m

I was so impressed with this product and really at affordable price. Makes it worth it! Can't wait to go camping with it :)
E, South Africa. 25 September 2014
Not too happy, the space is excellent but this tent was not made for wind and weather. Not too happy with quality either, upon pitching for the first time, the tent had some holes in and small imperfections. After one night in moderate winds, the tent ripped at two seems. Returning it.
Alta, South Africa. 23 October 2014
Great prompt service. Thank you
Daniel, South Africa. 29 October 2014
Excellent product and at the price it's a bargain!
Jane, South Africa. 30 October 2014
Great value for money. Comfortable and easy to assemble.
Cornel, South Africa. 20 November 2014
We have not used the tent yet, but it is perfect as it takes up very little packing space and its light and easy to carry.
Lynette, South Africa. 3 December 2014
Good lightweight tent - only net inside though. Thus not for very cold trips. The rings tend to get rusty. Extra space a great help.
stefanie, South Africa. 11 December 2014
Beautiful tent, but 2 of our 'poles' split and broke within the 1st camping trip.
Fathima, South Africa. 21 January 2015
:) - camping this weekend
Jan, South Africa. 4 March 2015
Very easy to assemble. Stands up magnificently to near gale force Cape Town winds. Spacious enough for two people, would be ok for three but unless you have one adult and three toddlers shoving four people into this tent will be a squeeze.
Lugen, South Africa. 31 March 2015
Received it in good condition. Nothing broken. Great tent! Those pegs aren't all that strong which was expected. Setup instructions could be made a tad bit more clearer for a novice camper like me :)
Bargain price! Thanks takealot! No regrets from me on this purchase!
Leonie, South Africa. 7 April 2015
Tent very flimsy. Would not recommend. The very first time I used the tent it started to rain softly for extended period and we could feel the drops sifting through. We weren't soaking wet but stronger rain and it would've been an issue. DO NOT buy this tent. Spend the extra money and buy a Campmaster!
Ian, South Africa. 13 August 2015
Average quality, but this is what I paid for so happy.
Guy, South Africa. 25 August 2015
After much research and shopping around I decided to go for an Oztrail tent, and I must say I am very happy with it. Received it on Friday and set it up first thing Saturday morning. The instructions are a bit vague but once you get the hang of it, it is extremely easy to setup and take down again. Quality seems great, and it has a nice amount of space. The vestibule is a great plus, adding just that tad extra bit of storage space. Appears to be well ventilated. The big test will be my first camp in it, coming up in a month.

I took the tent for camping at the Vaal dam. I pitched the tent as I always do - prepared for wind and rain. I had heavy duty tent pegs and additional guy ropes.
A storm hit and the tent did not last 5 minutes before being flattened. All the guy ropes and tent pegs were still in place but the internal dome poles are not robust enough and too flexible and the dome part was blown down under the external flysheet and the tent was flattened.
The tent is also not nearly waterproof enough to withstand a weekend of rain.
Definitely not what I expected from this brand.
great product, South Africa. 11 January 2016
Great product and good value, just a little hot though.
Daniel, South Africa. 11 February 2016
Great value for money good two man tent wouldn't say 3 man
Celeste, South Africa. 28 February 2016
Awesome design, really bad quality, rather buy a camp master
Gary, South Africa. 1 August 2016
Pitched in my lounge it all appears OK. tent is a little 'thin' and won't withstand a very cold or extremely wet weekend away I think. A great size and height, quick to erect and great for my son who was complaining he needed standing room and place for his stretcher.
Franco, South Africa. 22 September 2016
Best value for money tent I've ever owned with 2 year warranty which I haven't seen any other tent brand offering in SA!
Markus, South Africa. 23 October 2016
Best value for money. Aligning the top cover can be difficult. Some water does leak through the door zips in high winds. Besides the one leak it does provide excellent protection against the elements.
Chris, South Africa. 26 October 2016
Solid tent and super simple to set up.
No issues with zips and even had some rain on first use which the waterproofing held up.
Lots of room for two people, 3 might be a squeeze
