Recently bought 8. 2 of the eight sweat through on the bottom. but over all can't be happier!
Ingrid, South Africa. 25 May 2015
Super product, very happy with it.Takes a while to boil but at least Eskom cannot take away a nice hot cup of tea or coffee.
Liesl-Mari, South Africa. 13 May 2015
Works like a bomb and is a real help in times of loadshedding!
Cheryl, South Africa. 16 March 2015
Great kettle for camping. Light weight and handle folds.
Dawie, South Africa. 13 August 2015
Perfect for camping or when Eskom load shedding is in progress. 2.5L is more than most standard kettles and whistles when the water is boiling. Big flat surface so no tipping over and stainless steel design. Great product definitely recommended.
Siddika A., South Africa. 4 May 2015
Got a dent on day 1. Otherwise serves is purpose
Francois, South Africa. 9 June 2015
Works great on gas stoves, but not suitable for induction stoves.
Janice, South Africa. 27 July 2015
Took a day or 2 for the little silver cover to come off one side of the handle and another few days for it to happen on the other side :( Does its job on the gas stove brilliantly though.
Ilse, South Africa. 23 March 2016
It is a good kettle especially for use in the house on the gas stove.
Only problem is that the whistle is a bit too soft. I expected it to be more noisy.
John, South Africa. 27 September 2016
Good value for money.
Got it as a back-up to use on the gas stove during power cuts.
Not as fast (or efficient) as an electric kettle, as much heat from the stove rises past the sides of the kettle, which is unavoidable.
I don't know if mine is in some way handicapped - the whistle is VERY quiet, even when boiling vigorously - I suspect it is because some of the steam pressure is lost through the lid that is not a good enough steam seal.

Allen, South Africa. 25 October 2016
Great value. The stainless steel is not as thin as in other similar look alikes.
Jean, South Africa. 24 April 2015
Good size kettle but handle is rather cheap and cover on handle slupped iff on day 1..:(
enrcio, South Africa. 27 August 2015
Great buy and works 100%. Use it to boil large quantities of water which saves electricity.
Ryno, South Africa. 18 August 2015
After two months it started rusting and is leaking now. Buy only if you're planning to use it as an ornament in your garden.
Crista, South Africa. 8 October 2015
Quality not good at all, started leaking from the spout after a few uses.
jonathan, South Africa. 4 April 2015
Value for money

Good product and great service.
Jean-Pierre, South Africa. 23 February 2015
Takes longer than a kettle when heating a lot of water
Great as a electricity saver on a gas stove
Jan, South Africa. 8 April 2015
Excelent product and service
Gary, South Africa. 6 July 2015
Build quality is very good.
David, South Africa. 12 March 2015
Thanks to Eskom I have gone on a spending spree and a learning curve lately. Bought a large generator to run all the house lights, 1 Air-conditioner, TV, HiFi, Desktop PC and ADSL.
Found out the hard way that most quick boil kettles draw a huge amount of energy - so had everything I needed but my essential coffee :(
So - ended up buying a single plate portable butane stove (awesome little thing) then added the Oztail Whistling Kettle to my bucket list (TakeaLot delivered the next day - impressive).
Its stylish, light, portable and boils water in a jiffy. The whistle was a long forgotten reminder of my childhood so boiling my first cup of Joe of Eskom's grid was both satisfying and nostalgic.
Gideon, South Africa. 25 March 2015
Very nice...nice looks, clean easily, takes a lot of water
josephine, South Africa. 15 August 2016
It's perfect, but it developed some marks inside at the bottom and are not removable.
Juanitha, South Africa. 4 April 2016
Works well, but the handle and the nose melted off.
Mona, South Africa. 9 November 2016
Perfect for gas stoves and camping (gas cookers).
