Bought two of these on Daily Deals, must say the first one shot on 40 staples then stopped working. Not recommended for "Hard" plywood. Pine should be fine. Also the staples have a 11.3mm crown, not easily found in hardware stores.

Excellent product at a good price

excellent ! Initially I thought it broke after 10 staples. Took 5 minutes to realise there is a metal spring loaded sensor next to the staples. You need to press down very hard into fluffy carpet and it works very well. Loving it now

Absolutely terrible product, unless you want to staple and nail paper together!

So far so good

Excellent nail/staple gun for odd repair jobs around the house. Comes in a neat carry case with staples and nails.

Looking at the other comments I can see there have been some issues with the power of this staple gun.
I think that the problem is people are expecting an electric staple gun to work the same as a pneumatic staple gun... you simply cannot make the comparison... you are trading the annoying inconvenience and noise of a compressor with a quiet and obviously less powerful product.
At first I thought the nails would not even go through pine - though a word of advice to those who are having trouble - put all your body weight down on the gun while pulling the trigger - this will ensure all the impact is absorbed by the nail - and not by the gun raising slightly.
I use this all the time to nail masonite to pine or even staple soft pine picture frames for reinforcement. It is also very good for upholstering.
Overall - a good product - is more a DIY nail/staple gun than for heavy duty jobs.
