Sound quality is good.
A bit uncomfortable... it sits too tight.
Build quality ok. I can already see the top padding coming loose in the middle as you have to stretch to get it over your head.

My dad bought these for my bday. Let me start by saying sennheiser is best at clarity and a balance in sound. The only downside is the tight fit but after a time it loosens a little. Really don't know why people give negative reviews. The cable is also quite long. No other headphones at this price range for this sound. #SennheiserRules

Not very impressed. The first time I put these on I remember the luscious sound I was expecting and the disappointment I actually received when the sounds flowed through the speakers. There is good clarity but that's about it. Absolutely no base. The sound isn't that warm either and I often have to reply on the media player equalizers to make it sound good. Would definitely go for a pair of skull candies even as a dj. Oh and one more thing... The cable managed to break internally so I had to cut the wire and resolder it. I really expected better from Sennheiser for this price.

From a DJs point of view, not too shabby a pair of headphones, well, it isn't a pair of Beats that's for sure. It has a nice comfortable fit, lengthy cable, included bag for travelling/storage purposes. Only thing I wish it had more was a bit more bass but further than that, it's awesome
Great for keeping sound out!, South Africa. 10 November 2016
Great sound with excellent build quality. The only problem is that it grip your head tighter than a Brock Lesnar headlock!

Quite disappointed with these
I compared them against several other pairs of decent headphones, my Skullcandy Hesh and my Marley Rebel Midnight. I was expecting more from these, based on other reviews, and on the Seinnheiser brand.
The sound quality is poor, my Marley Rebels were cheaper and have better quality. I was also keen on some good bass from these, but the bass on them is almost non-existent.
The only positive is the swivel on the right ear cup, but this is simply not worth the price tag.

I got these pair of headphones because it was well priced for what it offered and suited my primary purpose.
1) Flat and clear frequency response across the bands.
2) Clear highs and mids with a reasonably good bass response.
1) Fits a bit tightly which may be upsetting to some users.
2) May be on-ear depending on ear size.
Buy these headphones if you are into studio monitoring, home mixing or enjoy a bit of sound engineering when it comes to tweaking your own music. (I regard these as a step up from the HD201's)
Do not buy these headphones if you want a heavy bass response. (Rather opt for the cheaper HD202's)
