Very easy to use and efficient spin dryer. Far cheaper to use, and considerably more efficient, than a traditional drying machine. Excellent product.
Peter, South Africa. 17 July 2012
This is the most useful and effective appliance in our home! It is a money saver as well as a time saver. Now that the laundry is dried in the spinner, my shirts do not need to be dried in the sun. No more faded clothing!
Candice, South Africa. 18 July 2012
I absolutely love it! My washing dries in a fraction of the time - especially now in winter where it used to take 4 days to dry, it now takes a day or two (hanging indoors) and it's so compact to store. Amazing product!
Matthew, South Africa. 22 July 2012
This product has changed the way we do our laundry. We do not have clothes drying all over our house and have saved a significant amount on our electricity bill.
Once you see this product work, the purchase is a no brainer.

The Spindel: Sexier and more arousing than 50 Shades of Grey and much less embarrassing to admit you own.
This product is AWESOME. I haven't been this excited about a product in a very long time.
Yes, my life is that sad that this type of thing excites me.
I stand and look at the Spindel with adoration as it does spins around and does it thing. It is just so clever! Plus it saves me money, which is almost more exciting than the Spindel itself.
Such a clever idea. I love it so much I am buying one for all my friends.

This product is indeed awesome and a blessing in the george where I live which is fondly known as "Cold and Wet" (Number plates - CAW). The dryer ran in a quarter of the time to dry the bundle after I first used the spindel. It is extremely easy to use and takes out lots more water than my washing machine did. I am very impressed at the amount of time saved and I am sure electricity as well.
Gina, South Africa. 16 January 2014
Fabulous product. So often these things are gimmicks, but this one does exactly what it claims to. I'd recommend it for everyone who lives in Cape Town. I know that during the rainy season my Spindle is going to be my best friend.
Jane, South Africa. 18 January 2014
We are constantly washing nappies at the moment, and it is getting the tolling nappies almost dry before they get on the washing line. Getting a strange satisfaction out of watching the water pour out (and all the excess detergent).
I know a lot of people who have bought the free standing hot air driers and regretted it. I have no regrets about getting this product.
Jacqueline, South Africa. 5 March 2014
Wow - what an amazing product - most definitely my best buy in a very long time. I have already been raving about it to family and friends. For the first time i have purchased a product that is true to its advertising. Very impressed.
Max, South Africa. 21 March 2014
Fantastic product, removes approx 3 litres of water after washing has been spun in washing machine, clothes are almost dry.
megan, South Africa. 13 June 2014
The Spindel is great. It is easy to use, electricity efficient and helps reduce drying time in a wet Cape Town winter.
Jo-Ann, South Africa. 9 June 2014
Works well, almost a cup of water per load removed.
nicole, South Africa. 11 June 2014
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Spindel - and got it for a gret saving on Takealot.com (R1299) THANK YOU
Bilal, South Africa. 12 June 2014
Fantastic product, works very well, definitely recommended.
Leon, South Africa. 14 June 2014
Good - it does extract quite a bit of water after spin cycle from my washing machine. However, take note that I am still using the old-fashion top-loading Whirlpool which has relatively low spin speed thus less efficient than the newer front-loading washing machines. Check the spin speed of your front-loaders and they may be already fast enough for you to avoid this spinner altogether.
Bad - the stated capacity is 4.5 KG however I have still yet to work out how to put more than 2-3 piece of garments (less than 1 kg) in there without making the machine wobbles and jumps. When the load inside is unbalanced (trying to put in a bigger load for example), the machine will make a raucous and not start- it is a real pain. A medium sized washing from my top-loader requires about 3-4 times of separate loads in that temperamental spinner. It is almost not worth the hassle. I am going to try a few more times but will go back to straight tumble dryer if I can't figure out how to make this spinner takes more than a few piece of garments at a time.

Brilliant product - so effective and easy to use.

I like the fact that Takealot delivers on its promises, no pun intended. Often a company boasts about superior service but then they are let down by one of their partners. But for me I rest assured that if they promise to deliver by a certain date, it happens!
Nadieyah, South Africa. 15 July 2014
It works really well, do read the instructions to understand how to operate it effectively.

Unbelievable how much water gets out of the laundry after the spun cycle in the washing machine. That cuts your tumble dryer cycle by 60 - 70 %. Big Saver
Albie, South Africa. 5 August 2014
Delivery was really fast and efficient. Product is very simple to use and drains quite a bit of water out of the washing that has already been through a spin cycle in the washing machine. Don't expect your washing to be dry afterwards as it is still a bit wet, but if you see the volume of water that got removed, you will understand that it will dry a lot faster than normal. Should also reduce tumble dry time significantly. Also nice that the cycle only takes 3 minutes.
Venesh, South Africa. 8 August 2014
Only tested once but it seems to do the job. Just be careful with the load though, as it seems to bounce all over the place when too full. Otherwise, a good buy.
Jodie, South Africa. 22 August 2014
Great product! Just a tip: don't put lacey things near the top :)
Russell, South Africa. 25 August 2014
very clever idea, nice product. happy with it
Yola, South Africa. 25 August 2014
Great Product and great service Takealot! Tx
Andrea, South Africa. 25 August 2014
What a great product. Got up to a litre and more of water out of the clothes and then only needed a very short while to get it completel dry on the line. Definitely worth the price, getting your laundry done in half the time.
Ian, South Africa. 2 September 2014
This thing really does help with getting clothes dry faster in the cold, wet weather. My only two complaints would be its tiny capacity and that it is too light, with no way to secure it. These mean that it takes about three loads in the Spindel to spin the washing from a single load out of our modest washing machine, and that sometimes we have to hold the Spindel down, otherwise it drifts a bit because it wasn't possible pack it perfectly balanced. It certainly cannot take 4.5kg of dry clothes; maybe 1.5kg. It remains to be seen how durable it is.
Craig, South Africa. 3 September 2014
Okay , it works , just needs a timer as you have to manually switch it off. Bit small , the bigger one would be better.
Shahied, South Africa. 3 September 2014
One of the best products I have ever purchased! Cuts down tumbledryer usage, which results in lower electricity consumption.
Sales person was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Would definitely recommend for any size household!
Prieur, South Africa. 10 October 2014
Excellent! Always had a problem with washing that didn't dry fast enough in the winter months. No more with this little helper! Need to load it correctly though but easily managed. Don't wonder about it, BUY IT!
Kendall, South Africa. 11 November 2014
100% satisfied. After a little experimentation with the loading methods, my wife has come to love this product. It's saving me money on the electric (drying) bill too.
Patricia, South Africa. 4 December 2014
This is a lovely little spin dryer which does dramatically decrease line drying time. The reason why I only gave it three stars is because it has a manual on-off switch and not a timer one, this means that you cannot leave it unsupervised without the major risk of forgetting about it, and having it overheat and risking overloading the motor.
It works beautifully and really does make a difference in drying time. (It now takes denim jeans less than a day to line dry inside).
Wendy, South Africa. 2 February 2015
This was purchased for my son to use in his flat while attending University. What a great machine!
Vera, South Africa. 13 February 2015
A fantastic product. It is amazing how much water comes out. Washing bed pillows is a breeze - they would usually take days to dry - now I can wash is the morning and have them back on the beds in the evening. For bad weather used in conjunction with a tumble dryer cuts drying time to minutes instead of hours.
Francois, South Africa. 8 June 2015
The Spindel works EXACTLY as advertised! Just plug in and distribute load evenly inside with the heavier garments at the bottom. The spinning time is dependent on the effectiveness of the existing spin cycle on the washing machine, however we found that the majority of the excess water is extracted within one minute of spinning time. The resultant tumble dryer usage is cut by half which is a significant electricity saving.
We did find that for some reason lots of small things (like socks for instance) takes longer to dry. For these items a longer spinning cycle is required although the results is still much better than just the washing machine spinning cycle.
The electric cord is neatly folded in the rear of the machine with a nifty clip action for storage. Please notice some water still dripping from the front nozzle after use. Allow the unit to dry for a while before storing it away.
Gualbert, South Africa. 15 July 2015
The unit is definately not built for rough usage, but when carefully operated, I think this unit will last quite a while. It exceeded my expectations and extracted 5 liters of water from just one wash with my Speed Queen so I am very impressed.
Juan, South Africa. 14 March 2016
The first one I had worked only once and never switched back on. Takealot replaced it and the second one works very well. I would not recommend this to someone that uses a heavy duty washing machine as this unit won't last long with that. I have a 7kg washing machine and one load fills the spindle 4 times.
That being said, I live in a flat and my washing now dries within a day's time.
