When one of their friends dies unexpectedly, a group of teenagers learn of a mysterious online video game world, which is reputedly based on the life of an ancient noblewoman known as the Blood Countess. Before long, they realise what killed their friend, and that when you die in the video game, you die for real. As their numbers are whittled down, the survivors realise they have to defeat the game in order to stay alive.

Stay Alive 3/10

I'm not wasting time on this film. I will say though that the 3 rating goes to the game sections of the film. The game featured in this film looks excellent but that's about it. In case you don't know it's about a group of gamers that come across a game that when you enter it you play for your life. If you die in the game, you die in the real world. Certainly if enough time and effort was spend making this movie it could have turned out much much better, but it didn't.

Pg-13 curse is evident here, bad bad bad dialogue and script with even worse acting and not really scary at all, atleast it wasn't for me. The ending is pathetic! Although some of the situations the characters found themselves in were nicely thought out, they were executed badly. It's unfortunate I have to say this cause I really wanted this to be good but I'm afraid I have to advise you to not waste your money on this crap, unless you don't mind wasting money on dull movies. Or do watch it just to see how they f*&$ up an idea like this. This is probably a movie you'll watch anyway irrespective of criticism...please just don't pay R20 to rent it

Good idea but in a few minutes a low grade picture.A total waste of time and disappointing.

christopher, South Africa. 8 May 2012

Rather then get this one try and get the South African one this one has a lot of scenes missing and it is 11 Mins shorter it is better to get the South African one
