Pleasantly surprised. Works great. Start dishes off on the stove then close up to impact flavour into the meat and retain moisture.

I am very happy with my purchase

What a fantastic buy! I love my new slow cooker. Thanks Takealot for such fast service. I ordered and paid for my product late in the evening and received it the next day. Now that's what I call service!

Good value for money! Directions can be a little bit clearer (I'm a first time pressure cooker user), but overall a great buy! Quick and easy!

Bear in mind that this product doesn't include assembly instructions but requires you to attach the handles yourself (although it's not too difficult to figure out).
Also to note is that this kind of pressure-cooker (known as a 'jiggle-top') is quite outdated. Many brands (including Sunbeam, which no longer sells this model on its own website) only sell either electric pressure cookers or more modern ones with steam-release buttons and spring valves. It is possible to find more modern pressure cookers at the same price.
That being said the cooker still works just as well as more modern designs but is a little more 'hands on'.
Make sure to read the use instructions thoroughly as these cookers reach very high pressures and need to be used correctly in order to be safe.

Works really well. There are no instructions with the pressure cooker, so it took us a bit longer than usual to assemble but we managed in the end.

I found the product easy to assemble and use.
sohana, South Africa. 13 May 2016
have not used the cooker as yet, but there is no manual in the box, so am unsure about assembly at the moment.
delivery time from takealot however was excellent.

A good value for money pressure cooker with many safety valves (I recall three).

Excellent service beyond expectation. Product is top grade and delivery was very prompt even to our remote area of Gauteng.

For the price (R299) we thought we couldn't wrong -- always wanted to try out a pressure cooker. And we are not disappointed. It is lightweight although much bigger than I expected and probably bigger than what we need. It's lightweight and cheap cos it's made of aluminium -- which doesn't bother me, hasn't altered the flavour of the food we cook. So far have cooked rice and veg. Using a lot less gas than before. For a cup of rice we put the gas on for 4 minutes and then left the pot for 10 minutes until the rice was cooked (as per instructions I found on the internet). For the veg curry, fried the onions and spices, added the veg, then boiled for 3 mins and then left the pot till it had steamed off (curry was delicious). The only downside is that it took some effort attaching the handles to the pot -- there are no instructions and it was not obvious what to do. But we worked it out and so far so good. The instruction booklet has tiny font (can hardly read it!) and not very helpful at all.

Great cooking companion in the kitchen

The product is fake. It says it cooks things for 20 minutes but it took 3hours to cook oxtail. They must not lie to us and say it's a pressure cooker when it's a normal pot. Very disappointed I wasted such money
Michael, South Africa. 6 July 2016
Havent used it yet. But from what i can see its beautiful workmanship.
thulani, South Africa. 12 May 2016
nice though it looks different from the pic

Love my new pressure cooker!

REALLY glad I bought this. It assembles easily, cooks very good and cleans without a hassle. I also love the fact that it has so many safety features. A real bargain.
Heather, South Africa. 28 October 2016
Someone said this is old fashioned...well that means it's better and made well, with superior materials. You cannot beat this type of cooker. I give it 5 stars.
Karl, South Africa. 24 June 2016
Great value for money, easy to assemble, easy to use, makes excellent oxtail, no burning of food.

Comes without a instruction or assembly manual. Assembling was easy but I find too much steam escaping from all over. I must have done something wrong but there is no manual available on internet either. Othewise good quality
Essie, South Africa. 5 July 2016
The handle installation is a bit tricky but the pot quality seems good

Bought as a gift for my son so these are his comments : Product - as advertised = "Yes", Assembly = "Easy", Instruction booklet - was there one and could you read it? = "Yes but did not need it, I'm a man", General comments - does it work or not? Plus side, minus side? = "Yes works great, plus side first night Spareribs". He's happy!
