Great book. It will change how you eat without breaking the bank. This book is by a South African for South Africans and this is why we enjoy it so much. There are no hard to find ingredients or insanely expensive meals in here, instead you will find the majority of the items at your local supermarket.
What we liked is the introduction that clears up what this diet is all about and who this diet is for. The recipes are each on their own page with a picture of the meal on the opposite one. I rather like this as its easier to focus on the recipe you are working on,
If you only buy this to use as a guideline or to compliment your existing South African cookbooks, you will still get a lot of value out of it.

Font is a bit difficult to read at a glance but it's well put together.
Lacks dessert options, which I've found are pretty tricky to do LC, but have found decent ones online.

Absolutely love this book! Recipes are easy to follow, delicious and the whole concept of eating this way makes so much sense. My whole family eat this way as well as my extended family and every member that needed to lose weight is losing. I have lost 5,3kgs in my first 3 weeks! This book is a life changer. I was a consultant to Heart Foundation for 15 years - and I am throwing my lot in with Tim. Go easy on dairy I discovered when I hit a wall. And coconut smoothie is obligatory so just get used to the idea.
Other than that this diet is a breeze.
The book is a work of art. The food photography is awesome. Good luck to all the food loving Banters out there. There is life while dieting!

Fantastic book! I'm a big fan of Tim Noakes, although I know others don't share my opinion. But even if you don't agree with him, this book is worth a read - his section regarding the science behind Banting is interesting, and I'm sure will make even the most ardent hater see some sense in the idea. The recipes are very useful, too. Well worth a read.

This book is amazing, even if you are not following a paleo diet (banting, low carb) though I'd be careful about the fat and calories consumed IF still eating carbs! It's a fantastic and very easy to follow recipe book and I love the way it's written, simple but yet so to the point. I have had the book for less than a week and already made 6 of the recipes, more than I have ever made out of any cook book.

I had healthy medical statistics when I bought into the Real Meal Revolution way. After 8 months, my cholesterol is now high risk and I have gained weight.
I guess I am part of the percentage the RML does not work for. It is very alarming to find myself in this position and trying to find a way back to good health.

Not as comprehensive as I had expected nor does it seem to provide easily affordable, easily followed, even if seriously dull, alternatives. Recipes are excellent but, quite honestly, require a dedication beyond my ability. A good effort, but probably not something the average person can stay with for the long haul.

This is the most delicious way to lose weight! The book is very informative, and the recipes are quite easy. To get all the basic ingredients is a bit costly, but it replaces a lot of items you would normally buy, so after month 1 all costs should even out.

Excellent book. Following this lifestyle I have lost 14kg and have now maintained my loss for just over a year. It is revolutionary in its thinking but once you get over the disbelief that eating saturated fat is good for you, the rest is much easier to "swallow".

This book is fantastic, everyone in my household needs to shed some extra weight and this has made it easy. We love the meals and the green/orange/red lists has made it easy to shop.
Our GP recommended it as he has lost 24kg in a 5 month period using this book. We started a month ago and we have all lost about 6kg each. I am sure this will become a way of life for us now.

Love the book. It's simple to understand, doesn't have too much scientific jargon (just a little bit!) and of course if what's in the book doesn't work for you, try something else. The recipes and food visuals are also a good addition to the book.

I have been interested in LCHF diets for many years. However, reading the latest science clearly shows that there are far healthier ways to eat (whole foods, plant-based) which Noakes et al. completely ignore in this book. If you are interested in your _long-term_ health I cannot recommend this book.
