I'm really enjoying the book. There are so many nice recipes for all ages - all beautifully presented. I just wish I had it when I was pregnant because there is a really nice "what to eat while pregnant" section. Also great ideas for kids parties, which can be a tricky area. And as with their earlier book there is a section explaining the thinking behind this way of eating and looking at some of the reasons for childhood obesity..

I agree that sugar and processed foods (especially carbohydrates) are bad but Noakes are a bad scientist who likes sensationalism and has an evangelical following who bashes any counter-arguments with emotional retort. After he lost attention with his "carbo-loading" he started with this. What is his next diet fad going to be? Please leave the children alone! Bad-bad Prof!

He is absolutely clueless when it comes to child nutrition. Thankfully I did a course through Harvard University regarding child nutrition, otherwise I too might have fallen for this book, thinking he knows what he is talking about! He has NO clue.

It is more realistic and balanced than you would expect. With all the rage directed at Noakes, people miss the real premise of the book: eat real food, not the junk we mistakenly label as food. Accessible, readable and doable.

Absolutely love this book and the recipes are easy to prepare with simple ingredients. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who is starting or already on their LCHF journey. Nice to finally understand that my teenager is normal, as he doesn't stop eating. :-D
