It has a good storyline and I didn't hate playing it, but having played Thief from the first episode, The Dark Project all the way through, this just wasn't the same, so if you're familiar with the old ways of the Hammers and the Pagans and the Watch, you'll be let down. Very disappointing ending - almost threw my controller through the TV.

Departure from the old style Thief experience. No longer do gas arrows put out enemies, but rather just stun them for a few seconds. Fire arrows cause more damaged, yet enemies survive up to 6 shots. Enemies can now be "traced" by using floating icons above their heads showing how alert they are, which in my opinion makes the game too easy as you almost always know where the enemies are. Gone are the days of the Hammers and the Forgers, their inventions almost all gone. Game play is very good, and the story is quite lengthy, yet the days of Thief 1 - 3 will be sorely missed.
