The TomTom Bandit Action Camera offers a smarter way to record, edit, and share your skills and adventures. It records up to 4K (Ultra HD) resolution video at 15 fps, 2.7K at 30 fps, and 1080p at 60 fps. It also supports 720p at 120 fps, 16MP still images in burst up to 10 fps, and 4K/1080p time lapse modes. Equipped with built-in GPS and in-camera sensors, the Bandit tracks your location, altitude, speed, and other data, which can be overlayed on top of your footage. This data is used to mark highlights within your footage so you can quickly find the most exciting parts. It even can track your heart rate when used with a compatible Bluetooth heart rate monitor.
Featuring a built-in media server, the Bandit eliminates the need to download footage before being able to edit. Rather, you can edit footage directly on the camera itself, using a companion iOS and Android app to create and share videos quickly and intuitively. With a simple shake of your smartphone the app can even automatically assemble and create a ready-to-share highlight reel from your footage based on your highlight tags.
For power, the Bandit has a removable and rechargeable 1900mAh battery that uses a standard USB connection, which makes it easy to plug directly into a computer or a USB charger without requiring any additional cables. The Batt-Stick, as TomTom calls it, is also where you'll find the microSD card slot, so connecting it to your computer also lets you transfer files. A fully charged battery provides around three hours of 1080p30 recording.
This Base Pack includes a splashproof lens cover for use around water or in light rain. An optional dive lens cover is available for underwater shooting at maximum depths of 164'. Also includes is one flat adhesive mount, one curved adhesive mount, and a GoPro adapter for attaching to any accessory has a standard three-prong GoPro mounting interface.
The Bandit can record up to 4K video at 15 fps and 2.7K video at 30 fps, for ultra high-resolution capture of your adventures. You can also record in Full HD 1080p up to 60 fps, as well as 720p up to 120 fps.
GPS and In-Camera Sensors
Built-in GPS and in-camera sensors track speed, G-force, altitude, and rotation, which can then be overlayed on top of your videos to show your performance. You can even track your heart beat when you add an optional Bluetooth heart rate monitor.
In addition to displaying this data on playback, the Bandit uses the data to mark exciting moments - highlights - in your footage, such a big jump or fast turn. You can also use buttons on the optional remote control or the camera itself to mark your own highlights on-the-fly.
Built-In Media Server and Auto-Editing
The TomTom Bandit features a built-in media server that lets you edit footage directly on the camera, without having to transfer it to your smartphone or computer first. When synced with the Bandit App for iOS and Android over Wi-Fi, you can playback your control the camera and playback your footage, as well as use a unique auto-editing feature that lets you simply shake your smartphone to create a ready-to-share highlight reel based on the GPS and highlight tags.
Time Lapse and Burst Photo
Capture time lapse videos with 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 second shot interval and automatically compile them into 4K or 1080p resolution clips at 30 fps. You can also shoot full resolution 16MP stills up to 10 fps using the burst photo mode.
Slow Motion Recording
See all of your skills - and wipeouts - in smooth slow motion. The Bandit offers 2x slow motion recording for 1080p, 4x for 720p, and 6x WVGA.
The innovative Batt-Stick allows you to charge the battery and transfer footage without the need for cables. The battery stick features a built-in 1900mAh battery and has a standard-sized USB 3.0 connector for direct interface with a computer or USB charger. It also integrates the camera's microSD card slot so the stick is also used for transferring files from your card to your computer.

Great camera! I use it for my racing. But be warned.. To get hold of the external mic adapter and hear rate belt is a mission and VERY expensive.
THEN, the software is in Beta phase so everything is experimental and flawed. All the selling points are useless. I have been on the TomTom forum from the start. I have tried using Dashware with the exported *.gpx file but nothing is picked up. TomTom do offer NO SUPPORT and NO REPLIES to my questions and requests.
You've been warned!

Firstly, it's a great camera overall. The video is sharp, photos are good and it is really easy to use. The battery also lasts pretty decently - with my normal use (about 10 minutes of recording at a time with 10-20 minutes of not recording, but with the camera on) it lasts around 6+ hours. This is with the GPS and all the sensors switched on. The most impressive feature in my opinion is the array of sensors and the automatic highlighting. I use it mainly on my motorbike and the speed overlay is great for that.
The app is good on Android - not sure about iPhone - and the computer suite is nothing too impressive, but I don't use it to edit in any case. Both the Android app and the computer suite allow you to look through your library and cobble together footage by using highlights - useful if you want to put something decent up in a hurry.
Video settings are a bit more limited than GoPro and the videos are more saturated - not overly so, but visibly. Regardless it offers 4K/15fps, 2.7K/30fps, 1080p/60-30fps all the way down to WVGA at something like 180fps.
2.7K shooting is really nice if you're going to stabilize it afterwards, but I found it becoming very hot if I left it to record 2.7K while standing still for a while. Didn't have this problem with 1080.
Low-light isn't bad in video mode, no worse than the other cameras I've used - I'll call it average.
Photos are okay, but not great. I found that shadows are very dark in most of my photos, but if you have good light they're pretty decent.
It is a bit heavier than the competition - weighing in at almost 200g. But it is water resistant out of the box and you only need a diving lens to make it waterproof to 50m - no case required - which is nice. It also feels very sturdy and the Batt-stick, removable battery and SD card reader, is really nice. Most of my friends also agree that it is a beautiful looking camera.

fantastic camera with foolproof on/off buttons. With helmet mounting wearing gloves it's easy to turn on so you can be sure it's recording.
