Really disappointed, doesn't do what it says on the box, does not clone my current wifi and when i try use the wifi it does send out that o has no internet connection, don't hold your breath trying to get any support from TP-Link directly as they don't do that. i see other people have had good reviews but it doesn't work in my house
Mohammed, South Africa. 29 August 2015
Just follow the instructions. Performs as expected. Very impressed.
Errol, South Africa. 29 July 2015
Works as expected and setup was as easy as they claim on the box. Signal is decent and transfer speeds are tolerable. Would buy again to extend wifi into dead ones.
Butterfly Paint, South Africa. 23 April 2016
Awesome product! Finally solved my WiFi problem in my room & plugged my PC in for max speed. The cloning WiFi signal didn't work but took me less than a minute to set it up manually (Very easy instructions). Highly recommend this product over a WiFi repeater, bought one of those first and it failed horribly.
Brian, South Africa. 25 April 2016
The product works as required, took about 30min to get it to work, just make sure when setting up to plug both units in the same point, after it is setup move the remote unit where you want it.
Johan, South Africa. 20 October 2016
Works great. Easy to setup, and stable.
Sean, South Africa. 18 April 2016
Great extender, only down side is the SSID clone function, didn't work for me, had to do it manually.
Great value for money.
Waldo, South Africa. 18 October 2016
Was expecting spend a good time trying to get this to work, but to my surprise it was incredibly quick and easy to install. Works fantastic! I now have a strong wi-fi signal and wired access points throughout my house.
Gareth, South Africa. 8 July 2016
Not as easy to set up as advertised but does what it's ment to.
Anton, South Africa. 6 June 2016
Works great. Easy to setup, and stable.
Thomas, South Africa. 24 October 2016
Does what it's suppose to do. Brilliant product.
Stefan, South Africa. 21 April 2016
Not worth the effort or money to extend a wireless network with this device. It is definitely not plug and play. The signal is inconsistent and loses strength even if the devices are placed close to each other.
MUHAMMAD, South Africa. 19 October 2016
Working flawlessly. Might not be for grandma to setup, but simple enough. Planning to get more for the rest of the house. Has solved my dead / intermittent signal problem, and added bonus of having two ethernet ports for wired connections. Easier alternative to connective devices without WiFi (TVs, DStv Decoders, etc.)
Ahmed, South Africa. 25 July 2016
Excellent product,it's pricey but well worth it as it's the easiest way to get proper wifi coverage in your house without loosing speed like when using wifi range extenders/repeaters.
Installation was pretty simple too,had it up and running securely in 5 minutes as a duplicate of my current wifi with same network ID and password so all my devices just automatically connected with no need to re-enter passwords.
Works well, great value, South Africa. 14 July 2016
Plug and play. Works well as a range extender minimal loss to bandwidth using Powerline with this product.
Manuel, South Africa. 14 July 2016
Nice but I have to buy an extra TP-LINK AV500 2-port WiFi Powerline Extender to cover my whole house.
Andrew, South Africa. 13 July 2016
Maybe its just me and my house's wiring... When it works, it should be great. Plug & play is great, but if you need to start setting it up specifically for your needs the software downloadable for Win10 was not very friendly or intuitive. The support questions such as 'is it the first item on the plug' and 'are you connecting through the DB box' does not create the impression of a robust and mature technology. I wanted to set up a 3-point system. All I could get working was a relay of the Wi-Fi to the other end of the house. The connection to my office area would not work, maybe because of a path via the DB Box. I don't know. Had it work and stop work.... Try it. If it doesn't work return it. Wish I could advise differently.
Kobus, South Africa. 19 October 2016
Very easy to install and works better than any other solution save installing physical network cabling (which is impossible to do in the 2 minutes it took to set this up). I'm not sure you will ever get the proposed 300Mbps, but then I never expected to. I do get more than 100Mbps between the extenders which is faster than my home WiFi network.
Edwill, South Africa. 6 October 2016
Very convenient solution to get Wi-Fi access to areas of your home where it is impossible with wireless extenders.
I used this in an outbuilding, and now I can access the internet from there.
nicholas, South Africa. 20 November 2016
On my second one of these, works for 2 days and then doesn't. Takes hours to have connected between upstairs and downstairs with multiple resets required. Buy this if you love bonding for hours with electronic equipment that has continuous glitches. Also if you call the TP Link contact centre they will treat you to one unanswered call after another. This shouldn't even be on the market. This only works if the rooms are close to together - for upstairs downstairs don't waste your time or money.
Bryn, South Africa. 17 October 2016
Excellent solution, installed and worked exactly as marketed.
