Haven't played yet, but just a heads up. 6gig install from one disk then about 20gig download from steam. Nice!

Must buy if you want to get lost for many hours and has lots of relay potential.

Great game so far -

1) I wanted to get a direct download on Steam first, works out around R200+ more expensive though, so disc version is the best bet. (The download bit was extremely tedious however. I don't know why they couldnt just include 3x extra DVDs to add the full game once off? Isnt that the point of a physical copy?)

2) Ive only been paying for a few hours, but really enjoying it so far. Takes some getting used to (crafting your house, gather resources) and a redone inventory. I was cursing the inventory for a bit, only recently realized I had to use arrow right/left to scroll. (no I never read the manuals).

3) Dogmeat can be a little annoying.. he keeps jumping in front of you/blocking your way/ruining your stealth approaches. But he's a full companion, can carry stuff, and you can put armour/goggles/bandanas on him, and he's immortal, so yeah. kinda makes up for it.

... LOTS to do.. so instead of reviewing.. gotta get back to the game now :)

Just Awesome. Be wary of the 19gig download through steam since the game only has one disk.

This is the best game I've ever played. I am a huge Battlefield franchise supporter, but this is in another class.

Played well over 75 hours and the atory line is not close to an end. A great mix between, FPS and settlement buildings.

If you don't have it, GET IT!

Best game out there. Why people complain about big downloads is just not right. Every game you buy has big online downloads. Uitstekende grafiese beeld en beste speletjie van 2015!

Its Fallout 4... Its awesome... Buy it.

Game is very well optimized as well. I can play the game on Very High setting with a Solid 60fps on a GTX 770.

Didn't buy FO4 from Takealot but just want to say that the game is incredibly fun with so much freedom and things you can do. It really is true that you have the freedom to play as you please.

The only downside is downloading a huge part of the game from Steam. Once you get over this nuisance, you are set with tons of fun.

If you know and liked fallout 3 and new vegas, get it.

Great game with lots to do

I had to look past all the bad personal criticism for this game before I bought it,
but after actually testing it for myself I can officially say it's the best Bethesda game to date.

If you still have conflicts on whether to buy the game or not, look on the Fallout 4's wiki page to view the true gamer reviews. The legit reviews give it a 9/10... the same that I would give it.

Fallout 4 is a great game experience, I have no regrets buying it what so ever and I hope that you will feel the same.

A very good game. I do enjoy observing incremental improvements, and F4 is a fine example.

Graphics might not be the best compared to Witcher 3, but graphics are not the point. People who are familiar with the series know that it's more about the feeling of despair (war, war never changes) that a vast wasteland gives. That feeling of "holy crap, this is what it might actually be like if Armageddon had to occur". At least, thats the feeling I get, and its rather authentic.

Some mechanics from previous titles have been removed, some people have complained about this. I have no objection to them removing whatever they want, as long as the game holds true to it's canon, and follows their artistic style.

Overall, when a game gets me to sit down and burn 24 hours worth of time in 2 weeks on gaming (which doesn't happen often because I work full time), then it is worth 10/10.

Its as good as expected if your are an experienced Fallout player.
Love the settlement building. The DLC is expensive though - wait for specials!
+- 20 gig download to play. You can play it offline mode - Just start steam in offline mode.
20 hours play into game, no bugs yet or anything. All stable and good.

Hated previous games in the series, but this one just blew me away. Very, very good game.

Do not buy this game if you were hoping to play it straight away. Perhaps Bethesda or Takealot should mention that this comes with only 1 DVD Disc and you are required to then download a further 19.8 GIGABYTES to get the full game. That's right, you only get 5.2 GB of the game. The rest you must download. So technically you have paid R 630 for 1/5th of the game. In other words, you just brought R126 worth of the game and you can download the rest. Thanks a lot.
I understand how steam works and online activation, but this is just not right.

The comments here are correct, the disc installs 5.2Gb and then downloads the other 19.8Gb from Steam.

If you were like me and wanted to purchase the disc version to avoid the huge download I'm afraid you'll only be cutting out 5.2Gb of the download, would of been nice if Bethesda mentioned this somewhere.

That being said the digital versions do cost a whole lot more (R799 on steam, $59.99 on GreenManGaming and other sites, GMG do have 20% discount codes but still works out to about R800 with current exchange rate).

20 hours played so far, a few bugs but overall a great game as expected!

To all those wishing to buy this version (PC) of the game be aware that only 5 GB is on the disc the remainder (25 GB) is downloaded from steam. This is not takealot's fault (ie no discs are missing) this is Bethesda's way of combating piracy

Amazing game - one of the contenders for GOTY. Just take note of the 20 GIG download when first installing the game. If you are not uncapped then this will make it a tough purchase.

If you're a fan of the Fallout series this is a must. Certainly there are some questionable design decisions such as the UI or the vague dialogue wheel not being quite up to snuff, but it's the fun rich wasteland you remember with some fun new mechanics thrown in. Weapon and armour customization have been vastly improved, and the Creative engine allows for a less clumsy FPS experience while enhancing the graphics to look passable.

Note however as other reviewers have mentioned it requires additional game data to be downloaded via steam before playing, approximately 19.8GB.

Definitely worth a buy.

Thanks Takealot for the quick delivery! There is a S.P.E.C.I.A.L poster included in the cover.

I ordered this game on a thursday and it arrived on friday so i could play it over the weekend. Thanks Takelot! Also the game is really good!

Great game, great graphics, good story line, but beware huge Steam download before you can play...

If you loved Skyrim and you're looking to follow that with something a little more post-apocalyptic then Fallout 4 is definitely for you. Love every minute of it, glitches and all.

It just works

Game of the year

Stunning game, well worth pre-ordering!
