So far the best Fallout game I've ever played. Easily put 150+ hours into it

Wow, what a massive and immersive game. Very impressed, just as always with the Fallout series. A must get for any PS4, XBOX ONE or PC owner.

Massive step up from Fallout New Vegas

Awesome game. However, the pricing is way off. This game has been out for a year now.

A must have for any platform. Endless hours of gameplay and customisation of both your character and weapons. Worth every penny. Will only be outdated after the next Fallout is launched. Many DLC add ons to keep you playing for months to come. Stunning visuals and Bethesda know how to make a game enjoyable to play. There is no complicated inventory menus or ridiculous combos to push on the controller. Very ergonomic design within the gameplay itself, something that can be appreciated but also over looked. Not to mention the map is huge. I have been playing for 3 months and still discover stuff

On its own Fallout 4 is a well crafted open world RPG shooter with a good story, good gameplay and a great crafting and building system that is all but guaranteed to steel away hundreds of hours of your life.
Unfortunately long time fans of the fallout franchise or even just fans of the Bethesda and/or Obsidian Fallout games might find themselves disappointed.
Fallout 4 manages to fix allot of the problems of previous Bethesda fallout games by updating the gameplay to have all you could expect from a modern shooter and avoiding the bugs and glitches that have plagued previous games, sadly though the graphics and animations aren't quite up to scratch for a modern game, worst of all though is all that Bethesda didn't include, long time mainstays of the fallout games and even of Bethesda games like a complex leveling system, complex dialogue options, the freedom to create any type of character you want and the ability to be as good or as evil as you want to be just aren't there, the dialogue is simplified using a dialogue wheel and the amount of dialogue choices are far smaller then previous games, most likely a after effect of having a voiced protagonist, the voiced protagonist also somewhat limits the type of character you can be, the main story and many of the side quests although having you make some tough morally grey choices never allow you to truly be a bad guy, a problem made worse by an over emphases on the main story and a lack of focus on interesting side quests.
All and all a solid game that though excellent on its own, does leave something to be desired for long time fans of the series.

This game is EPIC. Huge open world, deep customization and just an all round social life consuming monster. You won't be disappointed.
Jacques, South Africa. 11 May 2017
Game play is slow, default game controls not as is customary on other FPS games. Graphics not up to standard.

Amzing and fun!

Game of the year hands down in my book. the sheer content alone will keep you occupied for months. gameplay has been signicantly improved since fallout 3 and new Vegas. shooting is much better this time around. best game on ps4 yet. sorry metal gear and witcher 3 you boys go play in the little kids section haha. Bethesda for the win!
keith, South Africa. 28 December 2016
awesome game. Ive had it since release and have played most of the previous ones. Fun, but do bare in mind its not super fast paced. Exploring and more advanced building (new feature which I love).
Christo, South Africa. 17 November 2015
Very good game. Good attention to detail.
Good voice over work. Love the fact that conversations have multiple options.
Fast selection of Gun mods make for very interesting options.
Overall I can see why it is rated 9.5 on IGN
Magz, South Africa. 18 November 2015
Its a very buggy game. it is enjoyable if you like exploring and lits of fialogue choices but its not really a shooter - even though it should be. very disappointed with the graphics. its jyst slightly better lookibg ps3 graphics and tge character animations and models are not good for a 2015 game. If you're used to the series , it'll be great for you to continue into that world. if you're new to fallout... you'll prob have played better hangs this year to be honest.

What a massive game! You could spend the hours it takes to finish other "open world" games just roaming around and getting "side quests". Great customization in the game so choose where to allocate your level up points well. Fantastic game. So much freedom - though at times it feels like too much freedom as you roam around not knowing whether to go to the next map marker or focus on your mission. Great buy!
