Sure it's mindless slapstick comedy but it's very funny. Mike Judge writes and Directs another one of his interesting stories about a guy who wakes up one day 500 years later to find civilization as dumb as rocks. Really! These are stupid people, and yes, he is now the smartest. Lots of funny things happen, there's a message, the end. Better than these normal stuff that come out plus Luke Wilson is really funny.

The less educated and the least employable( most depending on the government) vote the next rulers in power, In 500 years the president of USA is ex WWE champion, most of the population works for company that produces Energy drink (that has electrolytes :-) ) The people of the future cant manage the garbage and rubbish is everywhere (Some places are already like that), Like they said in the movie, all those years scientist focus on some body parts enlargements and less on education. All popular chains ate parodied (name changed so sound with adult contexts).
The movie starts with an case study of two couples. One academic, that over the years ends without having kids and its genetic material disappears, and the second of midwest caravan park type couple with family three exceeding the screen when displayed,
This are the people that will populate the world if this trend continues.
Very "foreseeing ", quite cynical and very rough(foul) language, but eye opener..
Inconvenient truth ...

A fun, light, tongue in cheek Sci-Fi romp. The story line is light and quirky, as is the acting. Special effects are OK, but probably done on a tight/ cheap budget. Don't get me wrong though, this is not a terrible move or even a bad movie at all. Reminds me a bit of Disney's Wall-E a couple years back ( a better flick in my opinion). There are worst ways to while a way an hour and a half. If you like your movies silly, with a bit of slapstick thrown in, then you will enjoy it. I enjoyed it, and have recommended it to other like minded people.

A cool comedy that reminds me of where South Africa is going.
