USA, 95min. Happy Enterprises, DIR: Nathan Schiff. Anderson III, Jenny Miller.
Second low budget attempt by writer/director Nathan Schiff, is actually a slight improvement over his last effort “Weasels Rip My Flesh”, but that still isn’t saying much. The plot follows, tough as nails police inspector, James Cameron (John Smihula), who after discovering a severed head on the beach, accepts the assignment to bring in the sadists responsible for this island killing spree. The investigative team tries the case for a while, but seemingly dissatisfied with the support of his peers, Cameron soon quits the force, only to take matters into his own hands. His investigation finally leads him to the Long Island wastelands, where he discovers the answers he’s looking for in the form of a cannibalistic cult, headed by King Leper (Winston B. Anderson III), who has trained his son, Jack (Fred Borges) and a group of bikers to do his killing for him. Only just watchable effort benefits some from a few creative killing scenes, a particular nod going to the opening that features Beverly Khazzam being slaughtered via a lawnmower; apart from that it pretty much remains your badly directed/filmed/acted/edited effort, as is the norm when your entire budget seems to have been attained by standing next to the road with a cardboard sign. 1980.
