I wish I could buy one for all my friends. Yes it's tricky at first, but so was using a tampon for the first time. So easy removing and inserting it in the shower. I agree on maybe getting a smaller one to start with as this one feels a bit too big. My biggest fear was pushing it out while peeing or pooing and having to stick my hand in the toilet to retrieve it - but luckily it stays put.
Haven't tried other overseas "softer" brands so don't know what I'm missing and obviously love supporting local and empowering women.

I bought this cup after some research before hand on how to use, insert and measure for a menstrual cup (the PutACupInIt website is SUPER helpful!). I am so far satisfied with it - it's easier than you think to use, when a good suction has formed then there is no leakage. I struggled my first cycle but by day 3 I was inserting and taking out with more ease. I only recommend that if you go about measuring yourself to decide between the small or the standard, and you're a first time user, go with the small! it doesn't seem much different but perhaps it's easier as a beginner.

The instructions for use that come with the cup are woefully inadequate and not included on the website at all. Thank goodness for much better instructions found looking up other types of cups otherwise I probably would have binned it. Do yourself a favour and look at insertion and comfort FAQ's for similar products before attempting for the first time.
In terms of actual use, it does do what it says but I agree with another reviewer in that that rim is too stiff, which makes the whole process rather uncomfortable.
I give it a proper go but this is more likely to be a stand-by when travelling etc. than something I'll use on a monthly basis.

This is my second MPower cup - I bought my first one in 2010. It may be harder than other cups, but this prevents leaks. Others may be softer and easier to insert, but they just don't compare.
Just a tip - there are different ways to fold it, and it may take some practice at first. I could never use the recommended C-fold. Originally I used the 7-fold, but I find the origami-fold the easiest way (plenty of instruction videos and advice on the Internet). Best is, it's good for the environment, and a lot cheaper in the long run!

Best product ever for any girl

The product to use is a little messy and something to get used to, but in the end it's quite easy and so reliable. I don't have to worry about buying any other products any more. And it comes with a lovely little bag of its own to store it. Very happy. Give it a try.

I'm using menstrual cups for 5 years now and wanted to give a chance to local producer, sadly going back to its overseas competitor as this product is quite a disappointment. The stem tore off after second use and the cup is not easy to remove as it is quite painful, because the rim is too sturdy and hard.

Great product, long lasting. I've used the light flow version for three years. I then bought a standard flow cup because of leaking but for those younger than 30 who haven't given birth I think it may be slightly too big

This is fantastic. At first I was very skeptical wondering how exactly I would manage to insert it because I struggle with tampons. But insertion was much more natural than I expected. Very easy. Its so comfortable, I don't feel it at all, So much better than sanitary towels or tampons. Brilliant product. The only problem I have is remembering to empty it from time to time because its so comfortable I forget about it.

The MPower Menstrual Cup is AMAZING! As a first time user I was a bit apprehensive whether it would work for me, but after using it I can honestly say I will never go back to any other sanitary product. I will definitely be telling all my friends about this product.

I absolutely LOVE my MCup, couldn't live without it!! It is good for my health, good for the environment (less tampons in the waste), benefits less priviledged people (manufacturing of the bags), hygienic and excellent value for money!!!

I found this cup difficult when removing, there was not much grip on outside of the base. Otherwise, folds easily and no problems with the seal
Marika, South Africa. 28 November 2017
Acceptable. Not as good grip lines or flexibility.
you'll never use tampons again, South Africa. 17 September 2017
Makes my period a lot more bearable- sometimes I even forget I've got it in. I wish I had bought the smaller one though. But it's still comfy.

After doing research on Youtube and reading a very informative article on Cosmopolitan SA. I realised menstrual cups are the best solution.
When I saw the cup I thought this is too big for my vagina.I won't cope! I wasted my money, can I return this? Those were the thoughts running in my head!
My period came and as I have already invested my money in this cup it was time for reality.
I followed the WiKi How to insert a menstrual Cup and obviously the guidance provided on the MPower cup on how to insert it.
I also sent Mpower a message on Facebook asking about the cleaning processes.
Well I decided to test it at night, it literally took me less than two minutes to insert it. I slept like a baby- pain free.
The cup was half full in the morning, removing it was so tricky. Unlike a tampon were you only pull a string, the menstrual cup needs some sort of skill. I panicked as I thought that I might have to go to the hospital to get this damn thing removed!
To my surprise, the moment I decided to relax , I pulled it out with my two fingers and cleaned it with boiling water while I showered.
It is also easier to insert it while I was in the shower.
The smell is a bit strong though(like every other sanitary), you need to clean it regularly .
It was quite interesting to see what actually really comes out during my period.
My reason for buying it was:
1. I don't like buying sanitary towels and Tampons
2. In times of emergency you might not have any tampon with me
4. I can leave it for more than 12 hours
5. No leakage
6. It stays intact
7. It is safe for the environment aswell.
8. No long walks of looking for the sanitary bin
9. Good reviews
You won't regret. Just start with a small cup as the regular can be a bit overwhelming to look at in the beginning.

Every woman deserves an Mcup. Before coming across them I used to hate my periods because I have a very heavy flow for 5 days. Since using this cup I'm so much at ease with my periods. They are perfect. I couldn't use tampons because they would dry my walls so I was stuck with pads. This has been my life saver.
