My first mechanical keyboard and honestly I can say for the money it's worth it, you definitely get a lot more than in the description. My only complaint is that the USB cables (the keyboard requires 2 USB ports to be plugged into work) aren't long enough to reach my computer (my computer is next to my desk, but for those wondering the cable is approximately a meter in length. Still highly recommended for the price

* Looks absolutely stunning.
* Can just plug in and go
* Programmable macros are easy to use.
Might just be me getting use to mechanical keyboards, but the buttons almost edging on being a bit too clacky.
Very happy with keyboard and features.

I like this keyboard. I like it a lot. Apart from the multitude of modes to control the lights, the 16bit color keys, the fact that you can program macros, the multimedia keys or the volume adjuster - apart from all this - it is a joy to type on this keyboard. It just feels right. This is the perfect gaming keyboard. And if you don't game, and use your keyboard primarily for work, you should still get this keyboard. You won't regret it.

This keyboard is amazing! Best purchase ever. Solid build.

This keyboard comes with way more features than actually stated in the description. There are multiple RGB lighting modes: pulse, ripple, wave and even single key custom colours. The light intensity also has multiple levels. These do not cover the full spectrum, but for this price, it's a real bargain. Creating a custom lighting profile (of which you can have three) takes a bit of work and you may be better off looking online for a guide, because the included guide can get frustrating. The construction is very solid and the keyboard is heavier than you probably imagine. The keys themselves are great as well, with a moderate resistance and no noticeable activation "click". The only noise you'll hear is form bottoming out the keys.
I took off one star, as the blue under the backslash key gave up after three days, creating some inaccurate colours. However, the service from Takealot was excellent as they exchanged it for a new one without any hassles.

My first mechanical board. Been using it for a couple of months and I'm super happy. Excellent RGB lighting and value for money.

My friend sold me his keyboard then bought this one. the very next day i typed on his board and ordered myself one that same hour. ITS THAT GOOD!! it blew my mind. i love mechanical keyboards obviously for gaming. My fiance has ordered one for herself as well just for work. Great board, great price, amazing quality. if my guess is correct that thing weighs about 2.5kg give or take. the lights lets not get started. my words per minute increased by at least 40%. If you're reading this review then BUY IT!!

I received this keyboard one day after I purchased it and tested it out until now. I must say I'm extremely satisfied. Nothing on this keyboard is cheaply made, the RGB (the various color modes) function is stunning and really makes your desktop look amazing!!! For the price I got it for, I'd recommend it to anyone. It doesn't have the clicky sound Cherry MX blue (has more like a clucky sound) offers but has the tactile bump, which is really satisfying for both typing and gaming. It's "outemu purple" and in my opinion feels a lot like Cherry MX Brown :)

100% Worth the price. I have not had a single issue with the keyboard and it is incredibly easy to use and customise after a 2 minutes of reading the manual.
Lighting quality is great, weight of the keyboard is good and the key quality and typing experience is very enjoyable.
I highly recommend this keyboard. This is not the first mechanical keyboard I have owned, however it is my favorite.

Exceptional keyboard. The individual keys are well constructed. Key presses feel sharp and crisp. Keys press easily. Lights are bright and pleasant and the included software makes it easy to create your own lighting profile.

This is a great keyboard, especially considering the price. I've had it for two months now. I'm an author, so I've probably typed around 30 000 words plus on it already. I am not much of a gamer, but this keyboard is very satisfying to type on, with immediate response, and tactile feel.
It's not quiet, but this is something you either enjoy or hate with a passion. As someone who types for a living, the mechanical spring action, coupled with the gratifying clatter sound, is a great experience. Honestly, I don't know why any typist would still use anything else but a mechanical keyboard.
Now for the slight downside. The RGB lighting cannot really be controlled. It has five preset modes or off. You can change the brightness of the lighting so can set it to a low dimness. I usually have mine set to the mode that is simply lit up in white, and when I type, it creates ripples across the keyboard. It's acceptable, but I was really looking forward to being able to change all the keys and not have animated colour effects. You can set the keys to different colours, but it only works in game mode with the windows key disabled, which is rather daft.
If you want a fantastic keyboard, get the Redragon Yama Mechanical Keyboard. Good for gaming, but even better for authors. :)

Really a great keyboard but the software for the keyboard doesn't want to work on Windows 10. I have tested it on 2 separate machines. It first worked and I setup Macros for keys 6 - 9 to be used using gaming and now I am unable to change them as I can't get into the software again.

-12 marco keys

-Cherry MX purple, solid key construction (key sounds are amazing)

Colour patterns are amazing, everything works really well. Response time crazy. My pride and joy is this keyboard
Daniel, South Africa. 5 April 2017
Works like a charm.
Wihan, South Africa. 13 June 2017
Very comfortable keyboard. I get sweaty hands and palms - The texture of the keys are perfect and my fingers do not slide off when I hold a key down. My previous keyboard was a STEELSERIES APEX RAW and this is my first Mechanical keyboard, I prefer the Yama for its 'high' keys.
I recommend this keyboard!
Matthew, South Africa. 4 April 2017
Compared to my old membrane keyboard this feels fantastic to type on, it also has full RGB lighting (unfortunately the provided software doesn't have much to offer for programming it) as well as USB pass-through (usb 2.0). My only quibble is that the sound of the backspace doesn't have the same satisfying 'thunk' as the rest of the keys. A stellar buy!
Gregory, South Africa. 6 June 2017
This keyboard is a huge upgrade to my system. If you are looking for a customizable keyboard that has a really solid build, this is a good choice.
